We did not have much time to research and picked this hotel due to its price and location. Pros: good location, very near to the metro station which is only a few stops away from the Acropolis etc., pretty clean. Good wifi. Cons: everything is tiny. Our room was tiny, bathroom was tiny. The room can fit a queensized bed... More

I stayed there from May 15th until May 18 and my experience at this hotel was good. The staff is friendly and helpful by giving informations, I got room # 105 which was clean but I am afraid that for 2 people too tiny... Also, the room is on the 1st floor and directly face the street and the main... More

This hotel was a true revelation in Athens. After a succession of four star hotels offering varying standards at twice the price, we chose this hotel for two short stays around a longer visit to Evia (see ''Two stars'' shine (part two) for another great two star hotel). What a revelation! Spotless, compact but well-equipped accommodation, at a great price... More

We stayed 4 nights in the Katerina, long enough to do all the touristy sightseeing we'd planned. There are many good points to this hotel: Cleanliness & comfort: yes the rooms & bathrooms are small, but very adequate for the tourist who doesn't want to spend days in the room, & who prefers to spend money on experiences etc. Breakfasts:... Looking for a hotel not far from the Larissa train station I chose Katerina, which was only a 10 minute walk. The hotel had an elevator and was clean, the bed comfortable, wifi functioned well. The area seemed a little seedy, but probably not much worse than the rest of Athens I was in. It is probably around a 20... More

Visiting here for a weekend break in Athens. As other reviewers say the hotel has a good location next to the metro - we got here from the airport by metro in around an hour. Room is clean and air conditioned. Shower is more than adequate. Likewise breakfast is adequate - nothing fancy but perfect ably acceptable. The staff that... More

Stayed for two nights , room good, balcony and decent bathroom. We stayed on the 6th floor so traffic noise not such a problem. Breakfast is good, everywhere is clean and the staff are helpful. Underground very close and the red city tour bus stops nearby too.

We had a decent stay at this relatively cheap hotel. Wifi is ok and the room had everything we expected. Breakfast was also enough. The service in reception was lacking, however. Arriving in the hotel we had to wait for about 30 minutes and ask the reception 3 times before they checked if the room was ready for us. Then... More

I booked on a budget and only about a week before my travel, so that should be taken into account. The hotel was relatively conveniently located and the staff seemed helpful. I stayed on the 6th floor (that's 7th for Americans) and there appeared to be two elevators (one right near my room), albeit small, old-fashioned ones. The key was... More
