Hotel Katerina has a very good location, close to the metro and to a Hop On, Hop Off bus stop. Breakfast was wonderful and the amenities were perfect. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Everything was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The taxi fare from the port was reasonable as was the fare from... More

the hotel makes a good base for exploring Athens, being very close to the red metro line station. Other than that, the neighbourhood isn't picturesque (quite the contrary!) rooms aren't particularly big but ours was well organised and we could easily fit with our two suitcases. Shower was smallish, but perfectly serviceable. Generally clean. Breakfast was good and varied. Staff... More

This hotel is very close to the metro, the same line that goes to the Acropolis. They have free secured parking. The breakfast was pretty good. The desk is manned 24hrs. Very limited restaurant options in the vicinity of the hotel, there is a rather nice tavern a few blocks away.

This was a lovely little hotel on Plateia Vathis, about ten minutes walk from the National Archaeological Museum. The rooms are smallish and comfortable, but you had to be careful not to hit your head on the light panel above the bed! The staff were helpful and polite and everything was clean and tidy. The two lifts were the smallest... More

Why Hotel Katarina? We used this hotel for four nights during our stay in Athens. We have chosen Hotel Katerina, because: a) it has an excellent metro connection (3-4 stops with red line) to the historic sights of Athens b) can be easily accessed from the A1/E75 motorway and close to 8/E94 road driving to Corinth and Peloponnese peninsula c)... First of all, please remember, its a budget hotel, so no frills, no high expectations. Now, when you are ready with this mindset, believe me, it will definitely surpass your expectations. View to acropolis, you "CAN" view it with the help of a very good eyesight only. Elevator are very small but two. Traffic noise is there, so, please try... More

We hated every moment of it. The location was ok but the area is bad. We stayed there for 2 nights and regretted every minute of it. They say that cancellation is free but they charged the credit card 10 days before our check in date. Bathrooms smell. The rooms are tiny. The rooms are sad and gloomy. We stayed... More

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Katerina for a long weekend 12-15th September. Rooms are really small but it was clear from other reviews so we already knew that. The linen was spotless and changed daily and the rooms are clean and neat. The bed was fairly comfortable and the tiny balcony was nice to take a breath of... More

We spent at this hotel 6 nights and owerall we were satisfied. The staff was very friendly, the guy in the reception gave us a map, told all useful places, anawered all the how-to questions. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was standard - tea, coffee, fruits, juice, cheese and things like that. The location is very good, very close to... More

Stayed here a couple nights. It is located on Metaxourgeio Square and Metro station so it is convenient to all of Athens. It is not luxurious in any way and it has few frills; but it is clean, quiet, safe, affordable, has free wifi and the staff is helpful and courteous (a rarity in Athens). It is a long walk... More
