We stayed at this place for 2 nights. It's located nearby the Acropolis and other major spots. It's safe to walk around at night. The bedroom was big, clean and we were able to rest well but it gets noisy sometimes in the morning. The cleaning lady was friendly to us. The wifi connection wasn't good enough.

The room or studio - room is more aprropriate was dreary and tired looking. Curtains and bathroom needed a good scrub. Our towels were old and grey looking and hadn't been dried properly and were smelly. The aircon was ok which was important as it was really hot in Athens? We were there for 3 nights and as we were... There are only two good things about Athens Studios – location (3 minutes’ walk from Acropolis metro Station, Acropolis and restaurants) and a very big balcony. First of all when I have booked Studio DBL through booking.com I had no idea that it’s in a HOSTEL building. Price was about 100 euro per night which is too high for any... More

Are you sure you stayed with us? I have checked your name against all the reservations in our system and can't see it. The Athens Studios are located at 3A Veikou St Makrigianni NOT at the address mentioned. I hope Trip Advisor take this down as you are confused with another property I think? Kind Regards Daniel More

Room was good and all. But breakfast included was tooo lame, i mean for a studio price of 200 usd per night for 2 pax and you only get egg Bread and butter + coffee. Or beans and bread. They should at least improve on that. Food should not be expensive in greece. I mean, hello? Paris dorms at only... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful in giving travel tips. The neighborhood is safe. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars nearby. It's also close to a public library.

Situated right near the Acropolis Museum this hostel is in a great spot. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, good aircon and wifi. Staff are helpful with how to find anything in Athens and the bars are great fun

Athens Studios provides clean studio and apartment styled rooms. Our room had a small kitchenette, tv area, and a sleeping room with two sets of bunk beds. The beds were a bit squeaky, but the value still can't be beat. Our room was immediately above the bar, so there was noise until about midnight each night, but nothing we couldn't... More

Truly hellish experience...My friend and I booked two beds in a six bed room..thinking that it might look somewhat like the advertised pictures. The two room suite is INCREDIBLY SMALL! As in six beds should not have fit in that room. To top it off, we paid 25 euros per bed. At that rate, we could have booked a two... More

I am really disappointed about this review in our property. The Apartment you had booked has 48 metres of living area which is about 2-3 times bigger that a normal dorm style accommodation option. It is fully self contained and has a ensuite, kitchen, 2 balconies and full living area as well as 2 air conditioners. As soon as you... More

Little gem of a hotel, close to major sites including the Acropolis. Also close to train station. The staff were all very friendly. The double room we had was huge with a lounge room. Really perfect for us and would definitely return. Loved Athens!

A wonderful unique hosteling experience for me so far. I stayed 2 nights in the 6 person mixed studio apartment as a solo female traveler and was very happy with it. The bedroom is normal hostel style with bunkbeds, but it is then attached to a kitchen unit, livingroom, and bathroom. We also had two balconies, not sure how standard... More

Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighborhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianized Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centerpiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
