We have recently returned from the Apollo Hotel after a four night city break. The hotel room (including breakfast) was inexpensive, so we weren't expecting luxury. Spartan rooms, no coffee in room, breakfast is bread and jam, hardboiled eggs, tang like for juice. Would prefer to carry in the neighborhood at night. Noisy. but cheap. We stayed at the Apollo on two times at the begining and end of our trip to the islands. The hotel is exactly as advertised and a great value for Athens. We walked to all of the major attractions even though the hotel is just steps from the metro which was most convenient to and from the airport and Piraeus.... more

It grows on you! A moderately priced hotel located walking distance from many sites. The reception and dining staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and the dining room cheerful. The roof-top cafe offers a spectacular evening view of the Acropolis. Rooms were typical of a moderately priced hotel. more
