This hotel is all about location...it is dead smack exactly where you want to be location wise in central Athens...it's a noisy city street,...you'll be better off on higher up floors... the staff are very friendly and helpful...the breakfast is passable and what you expect, nothing more and nothing less...you get what you pay for. Clean, the bathrooms are decent,... More

Omiros is a simple but very clean and perfectly located hotel. We stayed there for one night prior to a four day tour and then returned to the hotel for an additional 6 nights. They were happy to store our bags while we were travelling which was very helpful. We were a family of 4 with two teenagers and stayed... More

This hotel was surprising, I had excepted something really bad, but I got awesome memories. First surprise, at the reception was Polish speak guy. Second from my window I saw Acropolis. Third Hotel is placed in centre of Athens so everywhere I went I have convenient connection. I really recommend this hotel for evebody.

The hotel is litterally in the heart of the city which was the most important thing for us. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast we had was quite good.. We've stayed here for two nights as a group of ten. Every one of us was happy with the hotel. It is highly recommended for those of you... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights either side of a 6 day tour. It is very convenient both for sightseeing and the bus/metro from the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast adequate and the family room ok but a bit cramped once the trundle bed was out. We were able to leave suitcases with them... More

This hotel was very good. We would stay there again. The location is excellent. It is only a few of blocks from Syntagma Square, the bus to/from the airport, the hop on/off bus stop, the Athens Flea Market. It is within walking distance to Lykavittos Hil and our favourite restaurant called "Meat, Meat, Meat the Grill". There are many restaurants... More

Great hotel in Athens, is close to the historic center but a little noisy at night. The bathroom was a little smoller but good value for money!!! The staff were friendly. Good breakfast and good biscuits

Just 5 minutes from Syntagma square, very convenient location. The hotel is very old, and the room was small. It is good that air-conditioning was working properly. The staff was helpful and the breakfast very very average

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Omiros Hotel for several days in July during our month in Greece. We used the hotel as our base in Athens. Upon our arrival in Greece we stayed there for five days while exploring Athens. We then returned after our five day exploration of the Peloponnese and after our two... More

Inexpensive for such a central Athens spot but unsurprisingly my room was small and old. Everything functioned, including a good shower. Breakfast minimal but for one or two nights, maximum, it's excellent, particularly for one person. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
