4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2015

This is a 3-star hotel, so don't expect anything luxurious. I will start with the pros: - great location, 2 mins walk to Syntagma square and 5 mins walk to Plaka and Monastiraki, the shopping and dining areas. - generally polite staff, eventhough they are not very knowledgeable on tours and opening times of some attractions. However, one staff member... More

Even though we had reserved and payed for two twin rooms one of the rooms we were given had only one double bed. We had to change our usual arrangements to share hotel rooms and did not have the confort and did not have the comfort we had expected and paid for. The breakfast is very poor with non fresh... Dear Alsansil, We regret to hear that you had an unpleasant stay. However, firstly I would like to mention that the rate of the room with the two beds is the same as the room with one double bed, as the price is upon the number of persons and not according to the bed type. What is more, regarding the... More

This hotel is located perfectly in the city center. The rooms are very good and clean. The room we had was a family room with 3 beds in 2 rooms and very spacious also. The breakfast was standard but Oké. On the street near the hotel you can go to nice places for breakfast and diner.

A couple moments from the picturesque syntagma square with its grand imposing hotels, perfect for business or leisure in the heart of the capital. It is also close to the metro station with two lines, as well as countless buses and the tram. a short stroll will take you to a huge shopping avenue and the business districts where many... More

We stayed for four nights. We asked for three bed room and we were very pleased when we saw a room with two bedrooms. The location is grate as you are near Sintagma and Monastiraki Metro station, very close to shopping area , Acropolis museum ,Plaka and all sightseeing. ..

I stayed at the hotel during a business travel for 4 nights. The position of the hotel is ideal. All the means of transport are 3 minutes away. The area is very safe, noisy of course because of its position. The hotel is fine if you consider the low prices of the rooms. Dissently clean. I didn't have the chance... More

The hotel has an excellent position, at walking distance from everything in Athens. The underground and a bus coming straight from the airport stop at Syntagma, it is on the border of Plaka, close to the city hall. It has a free wi-fi connection, excellent breakfast, comfortable sofas in the hall. It provides rooms up to 4 beds (like ours).

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
