We stayed at Pan Hotel for 5 nights and are very happy with their customer service at the reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Excellent location- just a short walk from airport bus X95 terminal, and walking distance to all other main attractions as well as metro station. The... More

Location right on Syntagma Square 2 mins, lots of Restaurants near by. But rooms are small. Bathroom shower a fat man cant fit inside. Balcony where we cant sit even. Lift only for 2 persons. Breakfast not so good, everyday the same.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and therefore it gets an extra star. One can easily reach from airport by X95 bus. It is just a few minutes walk from bus stop. It is close to all major attractions. Monastiraki metro station is also around 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel which is very useful for going to... More

We visited the Pan Hotel from the 1st to the 5th June 2015 and were really impressed! We found the staff to be very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfasts were simple but good and we were able to pick up some fruit for later. The hotel is well located just down from the Syntagma square in the Plaka area. Our... More

great location very clean although very old building. The morning reception guy is a little rude, but the afternoon guy ok. Yummy breakfast, a little noisy. The x95 bus stop is very close, some good restaurant close. Very small room. No good view.

Pros: 1. Location was great. Steps away from syntagma square and parliament. Relatively easy walks to the major sites like Acropolis, Mt. Lycabettus, monastiraki, etc. 2. Very affordable Cons: 1. TINY bathroom. I literally felt like a giant in there. Shower is barely large enough to move and you nearly slam your head on the sink every time you get... More

We stayed at Pan Hotel for one night before travelling to the Greek Islands and two nights afterwards. The first room that we had was spacious enough with a newly renovated bathroom. Other than the bathrooms, the hotel decor is quite old and is in need of an update. When we returned for our second stay, we arrived quite late... More

The location of this hotel is great. Certainly a good price/location value. (We paid 72 euro for one night including breakfast in June 2015) Rooms are basic, hotel is basic, breakfast is good. Dissappointed with stay because I had checked in advance to have a room with balcony, on a higher level and a double bed. Upon arrival got a... More

As far as the room with a balcony is concerned, this is upon request and not something that we can guarantee. Regarding the double bed,... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
