I stayed at the end of October at the Phidias and I loved it! apart the location which it was excellent, the hotel was basic but good and the price was cheap (i was especting more since it's just 10 minutes from the Acropolis!). Breakfast was included and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I was going to book... more

Great position ,but thats about it. Bedroom is small but adequate and is in desperate need of updating. The bathroom was quite honestly disgusting. The toilet did not flush and the showertray [if you can call it that) leaked water all over the floor. Such a shame as the position of the hotel must be one of the best in Athens. Don't... more

Good value, functional hotel in Athens. It's fairly no frills, but it's clean, it's cheap by Athens standards, and it couldn't be better located. You can see the Acropolis from the window of most of the rooms, and it's right in the centre of and walking distance from all of the historic sites as well as all the buzzy bar/cafe... more

Excellent location and very friendly staff - though we had a little disagreement regarding applying a deposit we had paid for a reservation to the final cost at checkout. Room was clean - bathroom, not so much. Relatively quiet with excellent air conditioner which was very much appreciated! Definitely skip the extra charge for breakfast - it is not worth... more

There is no beating this location. Walking distance to the Acropolis and metro. It's a cutesy neighborhood with great nightlife which was easily subdued by noise cancelling windows. Staff was nice. Now about the room... we reserved a double and literally had to push one of the beds out of the way to open the door. (Does that meet Grecian... more

The hotel was definitely central. It is very close to the train station but it is quite a distance from the airport, as many hotels are. There are many restaurants and shops nearby and the acropolis is a short walk. The rooms are small and the you can hear noise from the hall and other rooms, not a place to... more

With my wife, stayed 5 days in Athens. We chose the Phidias hotel, because I already had opportunity to appreciate its location (close to acropolis and to metro station). After this staying, we could also appreciate the warm atmosphere ,the tidy rooms (simple, but ok) and the quiet (nonetheless some restaurants in the nearby, we heard no noise during the... more

We only stayed one night, so it was good enough for that. But the bathrooms weren't up to standard and i probably wouldn't shower there. On the plus side, the location is awesome! Right by the acropolis and trendy Athens dining. I say one night okay, but any more might scare you away! more

I agree with the other reviewers in general. The location is absolutely ideal and the price reasonable. The hotel's street is lined with trendy bars and restaurants - good to take a stroll down after the archaeological sites, shops, and museums close. Shortly after exiting the hotel, which sits on a hill, you are greeted with a wonderful view directly... more

I have stayed at this hotel more than 6 times over the last year during educational or professional trips to Athens. The hotel is in a Great Location, a few minutes walk from the metro station of Thision, close to the coffee shops at St Pauls Street and the taverns of Monastiraki. The region feels safe though in the centre... more
