Close to City and shopping, great breakfast, large clean and fresh room and bathroom and great rate. Customer service excellent. Probably the best value hotel we have stayed in for a very long time. Bed was comfy too.....

The hotel lobby and rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable, with comfortable beds and effective air-conditioning. Breakfast buffet was just okay, and small lifts are quite squashy and actually cut my toe with it's aggressive closing mechanism. Odd shower setup that makes it difficult not to flood the bathroom. The hotel is walking distance to the major tourist attractions and... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner in June. We paid 100 Euro per night for a suite. It was so spacious, huge king size bed, high quality mattress. The bathroom had a big spa bath with a shower over the top. They even provided fluffy white bath robes that were a luxurious touch, Aside from a huge bedroom there was... More

We got a room with a special discount price, which matters on my review. The hotel was very clean, the room was large, the staff extremely gentle and willing to help. I can also say it was relatively quiet during the night, concerning that it is in the center of Athens. The breakfast wasn't top quality, but it was ok,... More

Good - Best in-room wifi of our whole two weeks in Greece - Fantastic location two blocks from the main drag - Solid shower doors - Large shared balcony Bad - Double rooms were pretty small, fine for two nights but wouldn't want to stay much longer with two people - Beds weren't that comfortable - Evening staff could have... Hotel was ok. It was down a dingy little alleyway which wasn't nice. Food was ok, but weren't really able to serve ourselves even though it was a buffet - there was a waitress who dished it up for us. Rooms were very large, beds were ok - I had a fold out bed/couch. The bathroom was ok. Location was... More

When i first saw Mirabello on internet and tripadvisor i got impression that this hotel is right fit for me, especially because my travel agent offered really competitive price. But when i came there my illusion vanished promptly. It is located in the street with drug dealers and prostitutes near center Omonia square. Must says i noticed that they dont... More

I booked the Mirabello based on pictures but although everything was as it should be, this can only ever be a 'passing through' hotel. The staff are really helpful and the rooms are exactly as advertised but there's no atmosphere or sense of being in the middle of one of the most historic cities in the world. All the comments... Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
