Excellent hotel in Athens. The location of the hotel is close to the Omonia Metro Station. A lot of variety and very good breakfast. The staff at the front office is very helpful. There should be more sofas in the lobby

The location of this hotel is really very good, near Omonia square, there are buses (also 2 hop on hop off station), metro and all kind of services. The room is nice and very clean. The staff amazingly kind! In the 8th floor the small roof garden is very romantic!

The hotel is nice and clean, and the staff is willing to help you at anytime. Everything was just right except for the location, which does not recommend you to go out walking by night (even when it's near the center, at a 10 minute walk of Syntagma Square), and the very low power of the hairdryers. Apart from that,... More

Modern hotel close to Omonia Square. Everything clean and well updated. Excellent breakfast. Free coffee in the room. Gym should be improved with some weights. A pool would give the hotel a 5 star category

This hotel is very good for the price. The breakfast selection is very good, the room was clean, the view from the bar was brilliant (although we did not eat in the restaurant in the evening) and it's very close to the metro which makes it easy to get around the city. I would recommend this.

Staff were friendly and helpful regarding questions before arrival and during visit. Rooms large and clean and spacious for 2 people. Despite being in city area rooms were very quiet. Breakfast had very good options and timing was also good for early or late risers. Close to metro and buses. Also close to shopping area and walking distance to restaurants... More

Stayed at the Junior Suite for three nights with excellent views over the Acropolis and Lycabettus hill. The hotel its in the centre of Athens behind Omonia Square. Considered thats not the safest area to be in Athens you feel safe enough to walk back to the hotel. Better get a cab (only 5-10 Euros). The hotel itself is a... More

After finding excellent reviews and photos of the hotel, we decided to book a room. Upon arrival, we got the room while the receptionist said that we have superior room. When we entered, a small surprise - room small and the shower even smaller so one person could barely get in. Then when we turned the air conditioner on, it... More

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and having read the earlier reviews thought a more balanced view was needed. First of all the rooms do look in need of some slight maintenance. Having said that they are clean and the bed was very comfortable. The public areas such as the roof top bar were good. The staff were... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
