Excellent location right next to Omonio square in the center of Athens. The rooftop terrace provides a truly magnificent view of the Acropolis (illuminated at night) and some other highlights of the city. Rooms are tidy and clean. One little point of criticism: the balcony needed a paint job and some regular maintenance. After all a definite recommendation for a... More

Good hotel for a short stay or in summer vacation when you are usually outside during the day. The service is very professionnal with smile mainly at the reception desk. There's a beautiful view of the Acropole monument from the roof restaurant. It's situated very close to the metro station "Omonia station" and the main attractions of the city

The Polis Grand was a very clean, nice hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English well. The location seemed dirty but it was our first time in Athens. We walked to shops and Acropolis so it didn't seem too far. Try the rooftop bar for a drink at night.

we stayed at hotel overnight for an early morning start to the islands . luxury it's not but it's very central , clean , safe , good informed staff, great rooftop restaurant with views of acropolis. the rooms are a bit small but it's a budget city hotel hence you get what you pay for. I would stay here again

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and location of the Polis Grand. The hotel is in easy walking distance to many tourist attractions and the metro is also only a few minutes away. Room was basic but clean and quiet. Staff were very friendly and eager to assist. We went up to rooftop bar/cafe late at night... More

I must've had few drinks when i've booked it but whoever has given them 4 star for sure had few too many ouzo's. Meant to be a room with balcony - I was given a tiny one, facing a wall 2 mts away. Noisiest a/c, tiniest shower, paper thin walls with door straight into the corridor, so you can hear... More

We arrived from the airport late in the evening and, as soon as we had found our room, with its comfortable king size bed, made our way to the roof garden, where we enjoyed glasses of wine and a fine view of the floodlit Acropolis, a mile or so away. This hotel is ideally placed within easy reach of everything... More

Good, nice and clean hotel, with friendly & honest staff, neat room service, chic roof-top bar with a view of the Acropolis and last but not the least it's in a very convenient location (some of reviews on the area, Omonia, are rather a bit too harsh and archaic!). The place is 10-15 minutes walk to most of the tourist... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Polis Grand through Go-Today. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, we are from the Chicago area and even we were a little fear filled walking at night. we were assured by the staff it was safe. The staff were great, the breakfast outstanding, the roof top restaurant, awesome sights and good... More
