I stayed in this hotel for one night with 2 friends. We had a large room with a door opening to the amazing rooftop terrace with views of the Acropolis. The staff was very friendly. Excellent location in the Plaka....close to many restaurants and bars. more

Great experience at the Magna Grecia hotel where we spent 3 days/2 nights. To start, we were upgraded to an Acropolis view room for no charge. The room was comfortable with attractive decor, the breakfast was very good and served on a lovely terrace with view of the Acropolis, and the location is perfect -- close to Syntagma Square/the metro... more

We actually had 2 stays at the Magna Grecia during our trip to Greece. We had 3 nights pre stay and then 4 nights post stay with our back to back Star Clipper cruise in the "middle". There is free WI-Fi and you can rent a computer for your stay. We had our notebook Dell Mini 10. Connection was great... more

I have to disagree with most reviews of the Magna Grecia Hotel. Granted, the hotel has an excellent location, close to all the sights and the Plaka. We booked it based on positive Trip Advisor reviews. But, just like one previous reviewer's experience, we were told that of our two night reservation, only one night was available because of some... more

There is so much character to this hotel with it's old world charms and modern amenities. The decor is beautiful and rooms amazingly cozy and comfortable. You will fall in love with the Acropolis view from the rooftop:) Wonderfully managed hotel! more

We stayed at this hotel for just 2 nights for the first two nights of our Honmeymoon beofre we went Greek island hopping. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly girl who showed us to our room, and also provided us with a map of the area and pointed out nice places to go too.... more

The area between Syntagma Square and Monastary Square is among the better ones in Athens. It's relatively clean (for a rather dingy, unkempt city) and does not feel threatening. It's also close to the Acropolis, the Plaka and some good restaurants. The Magna Grecia Hotel provided us with a perfect view of the Acropolis, a large, clean room, very friendly... more

We had a terrific stay at MAGNA GRECIA BOTIQUE HOTEL, but the best part was the true heart of our greek host. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who advised us that due to a computer problem they were overbooked! The look on our faces must have said it all. He advised us that he would like to... more

The only positive comment about this hotel was it's location. It was just below the Platka district on a reasonably quiet street. We had booked the honeymoon suite,(celebrating our 20th anniversary) but there was no difference from any other room. The room was like an oven, the "cooler" didn't work, the staff refused to come check it. We were both... more
