We wanted a hotel close to Acropole, so we have chosen this one. The location is ok, but still not very close to it. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good, but nothing fancy. It is ok to stay here for a short period of time.

I didn't use all of the amenities because I was busy exploring Athens but I thought it was in a good location to all of the sites. It was clean and spacious. The front desk was friendly and helpful when you asked questions. There is a nice view of the Acropolis from the roof. Our air conditioning didn't work very... More

The hotel is well situated, Close to the city center, plaka. The neighborhood looks a little creepy. Try to find a parking place just in front of the hotel, it's more safety. Large rooms, clean, poor wi-fi, noisy AC system, archaic TVs, from Aristotel's times :). Average breakfast and friendly staff.

The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the Acropolis through the small streets. From Syntagma Square is a 25-minute walk to the hotel. There is a subway (station FIX) to the hotel but we used it. The hotel is located in a safe area with nice pastry shops and bakeries. The room was ok. Breakfast-buffet with the best poached... More

The staff were friendly, but not overly helpful. Disappointed that the breakfast is advertised to start at 07:00 and was late opening. Annoying as it is wise to be there early as it soon fills with school children, and we all know what they are like !! The hotel has a main road and a fly-over near it, and a... More

A friend and I stayed in the Ilissos Hotel for 4 nights. The room was big and nice for a relatively cheap price. The area is a little bit sketchy--especially at night. About a 15-20 minute walk to the Acropolis.

Good place away from craziness of the centre of athens. Room was good very friendly and helpful staff in the reception. Breakfast was too simple needs to be improved, staff in the breakfast room too loud and not polite.

We stayed here on two occasions during our stopovers. Once on our way to the Greek Islands and another making our way home. It is located close to Plaka and the Acropolis. We took a taxi from the hotel there and it cost around 7 euros. On our first stopover our rooms were very spacious with a huge balcony. As... More

This hotel is very nice. It has spacious and clean rooms. They offer delicious buffet dinner which was very convenient for us as we had a late check-in. The woman at the front desk was very personable and helpful, as is their waitstaff. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Athens.

My sister and I booked Ilissos Hotel at the very last minute and we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The staff, in particular Alexios, were all friendly and helpful for anything we needed. Close to the metro, Sygrou-Fix, and walking distance to the Acropolis and Plaka which has some great shops. The hotel itself was clean and rooms were made... More
