We were, overall, very impressed with the Arion. The check-in process is very easy. We had a room with a balcony which boasted incredible views of the Acropolis. The night-time view, especially, cannot be missed! The room was small and quite basic, but suited our needs well. The beds were rather hard. Also, the shower leaked through the small glass... More

Walking distance to all essential places like metro train, acropolis, nightlife places museum, etc... Hotel staff Mr. Alfredos is very hospitable. Listening very patiently to all my questions and giving all answers to the best he could. Excellent front office guy. The room is very clean though the one we got is a bit small. Breakfast is generous. Except for... More

I would have given it a 2 star if not for the spectacular service at the front desk. The cleaning ppl have to do a better job than leaving hair between sheets and bloody towels!! The wifi was spotty. As others have stated the location is full of graffiti but come night time the small street leading to monstraki square... More

Arion Hotel Athens is very well located in the cultural center of Athens, close to the most famous sights. Rooms as well as bath rooms are clean and comfortable. I recommend to ask for one room on the top floor to enjoy the view over Anthens. Breakfast is OK but not extraordinary. Outstanding are the language capabilities and the professionalism... More

I stayed at this hotel for a few days in July 2015. It is in a vibrant neighbourhood and close walking distance from the Monastiraki station. Rooms were clean and comfortable. One of the best rooftop views I have experienced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Athens looking for a comfortable lower cost option.

I really enjoyed my stay in this Hotel. Quite basic, but high quality. The hotel is 1 minute walk from some wonderful cheap restaurants and an easy 10 minutes walk from the city centre. The included breakfast was quite impressive and had plentiful amounts of fresh foods and about 10kg of the tastiest Greek yoghurt! The free WiFi is speedy... More

Our third visit to the Arion Hotel in the heart of the eclectic and bohemian Psyri quarter of Athens. Ideally situated for those who want to explore the centre of Athens on foot, and with easy access to the main public transport systems.

Great location and amazing customer service. We dealt with 3 different men and every one of them was helpful and kind. The room was a little small but we rarely spent time there except to sleep and dress/shower for the next adventure. The shower was a bit odd, There was only half a door. The free breakfast was delicious! Fast... More

The Arion is located in the Astir Palace complex in the south of Athens. It's an amazing property situated right on the water with beautiful views. The hotel has its own private beach, pool, spa and also has on site the Nobu sushi restaurant. The rooms are great. They also have a taverna by the water. The hotel is highly... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
