Location is great even though it appears to be down a small alley . Close to all main attractions and night life . Very well priced with a roof terrace with great view of the Acropolis . A must stay. Large bathroom and high speed wifi . Staff are all helpful too

Great location a few minutes walk from Monastiraki square but not clean at all. Requested a double bed but our room had 2 single beds pushed together and we found hairs on the beds. Requested another room with a double bed and were told that all rooms with double beds were rooms without a window. Went to see it and... More

This was my second stay at Arion Hotel, the first being 8 years ago and I have to say, it is exactly as I remember! The best thing about this hotel is the location! Psirri has some great restaurants within a 5min walk from the hotel and is close to Plaka/Monastiraki, but far enough away to escape the hustle and... More

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. The hotel had a good location for exploring the city. The rooms were clean, but not fancy. The hotel provided a good breakfast with cheeses, yogurt, baked goods, and more. The best part of the hotel was the rooftop with an incredible view of the Acropolis. It's a good place for a quick... We were, overall, very impressed with the Arion. The check-in process is very easy. We had a room with a balcony which boasted incredible views of the Acropolis. The night-time view, especially, cannot be missed! The room was small and quite basic, but suited our needs well. The beds were rather hard. Also, the shower leaked through the small glass... More

Walking distance to all essential places like metro train, acropolis, nightlife places museum, etc... Hotel staff Mr. Alfredos is very hospitable. Listening very patiently to all my questions and giving all answers to the best he could. Excellent front office guy. The room is very clean though the one we got is a bit small. Breakfast is generous. Except for... More

I would have given it a 2 star if not for the spectacular service at the front desk. The cleaning ppl have to do a better job than leaving hair between sheets and bloody towels!! The wifi was spotty. As others have stated the location is full of graffiti but come night time the small street leading to monstraki square... More

Arion Hotel Athens is very well located in the cultural center of Athens, close to the most famous sights. Rooms as well as bath rooms are clean and comfortable. I recommend to ask for one room on the top floor to enjoy the view over Anthens. Breakfast is OK but not extraordinary. Outstanding are the language capabilities and the professionalism... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
