My friends and I were banished to this hotel for one night because the hotel we signed up for was overbooked. We knew it was going to be bad when the cab driver wouldn't even drive us down the alley where the hotel was. He dropped us on the corner and said, "It's over there!" The second bad sign was... more

Out of 6 weeks in Europe this was the worst hotel ever. We were to scared to leave the room to go for a walk at night. People shooting up all night and some during the day plus plenty of prostitutes. We had booked for 2 nights and left early after the first night to go to another hotel in... more

granted this was an ecconomy hotel but there are better hotels in the area. there is a market right outside the hotel during the day and there are drug users and prostitutes out during the night. the evening person in the hotel locks the door to only open it for the residents. the room was not that clean either. thankfully... more

Couldn't quite work out my opinion of this one. Budget, good for price. Right in centre of the food market (tourist attraction. fish, fruit and veg stalls ect: where local greeks will go for fresh groceries) PROS: Staff were pretty friendly and helpful when it came to ordering taxis and the likes. Breakfast, like in most greek hotels, was pretty... more

My wife and I brought our 3 sons to Athens to see the typical classic sites. Little did we know that other "classic" views included drug addicts shooting up, men urinating off of the parking structure, and fignts throughout the night. All of this was seen through our bedroom window. Air conditioning was not working properly (during the heat wave... more

We had a wonderful view of the Acropolis, the room was clean, the air-conditioning worked and we had two lovely and quiet nights there. Yes, the room was basic, and the bathroom itself could have done with being upgraded, but it looked liked they started at the bottom and were working their way up just doing that. But you are... more

We were greeted by a facist rally within an hour of our arrival - and our taxi would also only drop us at the end of the street. I have never seen anyone inject themselves with drugs until i looked out of my window one fine morning in Athens! The hotel was pretty poor, the light bulb blown in the... more

The worst night I have spent in a foreign hotel ever. If a dirty smelly meat market by day and loud music, drugs, drunks and prostitutes by night is your thing, then this is the hotel for you. The dated sparse room had windows that couldn't shut and broken down curtains that wouldn't close which meant it was a long...... more

Homeless people in the U.S. have better accommodations than this place. Everything bad you've read is correct - people shooting up outside the hotel in broad daylight, a smelly market right out the door, and no sleep all night on rock hard beds. If honking horns and screaming drug addicts and prostitutes are your thing - then book this place,... more

I can see why the reviews of this place are either great or terrible!! The view from my window was of the Parthenon, the view from my sisters was of something quite different. Services were good, the staff even opened up breakfast early when we had a bus to catch. All staff were very helpful, all through the day and... more
