Stayed in a comfortable and spacious room. There was a weird graffiti image of a fish across the walls that, frankly, has seen better days, for me at least. The service in the bar was excellent and attentive. There was a little plate with local sweet nibbles on the table when I entered the room, an attention I appreciated. In... More

I travel a lot in Greece for business and vacation. I do believe that it was value for money. When we made the reservation, we did take into account all previous comments. Boutique hotel, felt like home!! The service was unbelievable, people always smiling at us and were right there when we needed them. We even met the Hotel Manager... More

This is a small hotel, well located in the center of Athens, a walk away from the main historic sites. The rooms are bigger than usual, big bathroom, no signs of aging and a warm service leaded by Sylvia. The Hotel is located on Athinas street, one of the main streets of the city, a very commercial street. One can... More

When you come to Athens You should be ready that smoking is allowed everywhere !! So even at the hotel rooms they smoke! The smell is unbearable! The hotel design was too much and almost disturbing. The closet at our room wes too tiny for two people for 3 nights! The rooms walls were so thin i can tell you... More

We stayed recently in Pallas Athina Boutique hotel in Athinas street, Athens, Greece. We were very pleased with nearly everything. The hotel is a family-type, regarding the personnel, located in the center of Athens, at walking distance from the most important archaeological sites and from the Metro station. It is next to the City hall. The rooms are very nice... More

This hotel is very quirky. We stayed in a large room with a life size turquoise hippo. How can you not smile with that in your room. The staff were amazing. Really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice and Cretan specialities. Normally toiletries in your room are just toiletries but these were the best I... More

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and were very happy with our choice. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere. The hotel has a very stylish design and the best of all is the service. The service was superb! Everyone in the hotel was helpful in a very pleasant way- it started with an upgrade of the room the... More

The hotel was neat & clean (except for the mold in the shower). The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. I loved the odd artsy décor. I was most disappointed with no view. I felt like I was in a hotel anywhere in the world. It did not have any view of Greece. Just a partial view from the restaurant... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
