Ava was a great find and one where Trip Advisor came up trumps. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Location good, accomodation excellent with lots of attention to detail which is what makes the difference when you travel a lot. On the doorstep to Plaka which is a cute areas with loads of great places to eat and drink and... More

The AVA is a "must stay" boutique hotel in the delightfully charming Plaka area of Athens. It's luxerious, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. It's worth spending a bit more for Suite 301 if you really want the best. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the new Acropolis Museum and if you're a bit lazy after a day in... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to Santorini. We arrived in the early evening and the desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. He pointed out which tourist locations would still be open and offered to book a restaurant for us for dinner (we chose to go to Strofi which has a view of the Acropolis and... More

Stayed for a day before a sailing trip and three days afterwards. Wonderful location in interesting neighborhood at the foot of the Acropolis. Walking distance to almost everything you'll want to see. Good, well designed and equipped room ( unusually, good lighting) comfortable and clean. Staff are exceptional in their helpfulness and cheerfulness. Recommended unreservedly.

We stayed at the AVA hotel in May this year. We had a suite with a bedroom and large living room with kitchen area and facilities. The hotel is very close to the Acopolis and Museum, the National Gardens and tons of eating and shopping choices. The room comes with a great breakfast. The staff was very helpful. We highly... More

A beautiful boutique hotel in an excellent location. Quiet, surrounded by good bars and restaurants, and short walk to major sites. Recommend staying in a larger appartment; well-equipped and spacious. Lovely staff; friendly and helpful.

Super hotel, great location, lovely suite with terrace and views of the Acropolis, Adrian's Arch, and Temple Of Zeus. All the staff were excellent and really tried to make you welcome.

I selected this hotel based on the Trip advisor reviews Upon entering the hotel, I was very disappointed by the lobby which is done in a homely style, a cheap panelling of wood on the wall with a glittering floor. The adjacent breakfast room is furnished with outdated furniture and the lounge area is not inviting at all. The elevator... More

First of all we would like to thank our guest for all positive comments regarding our staff and location and we are happy to hear that he concur with most of the positive points expressed in the previous reviews. We fully respect every personal view vis-à-vis our lobby and associated areas. One cannot argue about impressions or tastes in decoration.... More

We found AVA through Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. We arrived off a cruise boat and got a taxi there for about 25 euro. The staff were very helpful in storing our bags and providing the tickets etc for the Athens Experience package we had preordered. A warning on this package - we were told the Greek food tasting would... More

We stayed at the Ava for two nights on 2 and 3 May and we have nothing but praise for this small boutique hotel. First of all, the staff are fantastic - extremely friendly and helpful – whether it was arranging cabs, indicating the nearest bank on the hotel’s excellent map or suggesting restaurants (Strofi was a great suggestion: thanks...
