An excellent hotel in the very center of Athenes, with a view on Acropolis from the terrace. The major sightseeings are in a walking distance, plenty of restaurants around. Rooms are beautifully decorated and include a kitchenette with a fridge. The only thing in the room which I found uncomfortable was the bathroom, which was not sufficient for a suite... More

Perfect location! Quiet street and beautifully appointed room. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Located right in the heart of Plaka. Lovely Acropolis views. Just a few minutes walk to museums and Acropolis. Lots of shopping and wonderful restaurants within steps of this boutique hotel.

Best location in Athens close by tourist attractions and restaurants/bars in the Plaka District. Walk out the front door and views of the Acropolis. Rooms spacy enough and clean (our biggest priority). Staff friendly and helpful. Great place to stay

Care has been taken with these rooms to provide an attractive, well appointed and comfortable studio. The small kitchen is fantastic for preparing your own food. Location is fantastic. Would have given it 5 stars but for the subway noise in the ground floor room

The hotel was perfect, just a short walk from everything we wanted to see in Plaka and central/downtown Athens. I found the hotel on TripAdvisor and the descriptions and ratings were accurate. The hotel is comfortable, spacious, very very friendly and in the perfect location. The staff booked taxis, cars to the airport, gave great information and were really welcoming... More

Nice view to the Akropolis and in the middle of Praka neighborhood. Means you can access Akropolis, Ancient Agora, Akropolis Museum, and many more sites by just walking a few minutes. Else you just take the tram or metro. Enjoyed the stay and the big executive rooms with view to the Akropolis.

Conveniently located in front of Hadrian's Arch, the AVA hotel walkable to most tourist attractions such as the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Parliament, National Gardens, Acropolis & Benaki Museum, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Standard suites was more than adequate for 2 and come with a small kitchenette with the basics (medium pot, 8" fry pan, sliverware and dishes, salt and... More

This beautiful boutique hotel was better than we had expected. We had booked the cheapest room. I would usually ask for a cheeky upgrade upon check in but I knew they were fully booked. There was no need, our room was just fine. Large spacious accommodation. The kitchenettes are a lovely bonus. We had the ground floor room which meant... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the suite, room 302, and it was very comfortable. They had the room ready for us, with the extra bed already made up for our daughter. The location couldn't be better. Perfectly placed at the Plaka, near all the action, but not too close where you'd hear the noise all night.... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
