my birthday weekend in Athens was hugely enhanced by our stay in this superb hotel, which fulfilled all our expectations; we were upgraded, for a token charge, to a suite, from the balcony of which there were views of Hadrian's arch one way and the Acropolis t'other, so right in the middle of the Plaka. Charming receptionists, delightful breakfast, clean... More

Stayed 5 nights in mid-January on a leisure trip. Had never been to Athens before, and was considering one of the higher end SPG properties like the Grand B, but due to TripAdvisor reviews chose AVA. Very glad we did. Hotel is wonderfully located in the Plaka, away from the busy downtown scene. Athens is not very large, and we... More

We would have loved the stay here anyway. It's a cool hotel in a great location - walking distance to the Acropolis, Plaka and many other places. From the balcony the view in one direction is the Acropolis, Hadrian's Arch the other. The breakfast is worth it, and the staff was helpful with advice. When Greek unions declared a national... Such a lovely hotel and wonderful, most helpful staff. This was the first stop in my partner and I's amazing trip around Europe and it did not disappoint. We were offered an upgrade to the executive suite. The staff attended enthusiatically and promptly to our every need and question. The free wifi connection was strong and the hotel room was... More

AVA Hotel is just close to Plaka and Acropolis located in a walk distance. Front Office really helpful to provide any kind of tips and great rooms. There was a promotion through Facebook and we were pleasured with a bottle of sparkling wine in the room. On the second time (when we came back from the trip in the islands),... More

We recently stayed here as part of our honeymoon having read wonderful reviews about the staff and service provided to other couples on their honeymoon. Unfortunately we didn't receive any special treatment and even noticed complimentary champagne being delivered to the room next door! I wouldn't normally complain about such a thing but it was in stark contrast to the... More

Hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and to help with directions and recommendations. Rooms were spacious with access to the outdoors; a balcony with view of the Acropolis and the other with a small patio. We didn't take full advantage of the kitchenette which had everything needed to prepare a snack or simple... More

Tucked away down a narrow street in Plaka, in sight of the Arch of Hadrian, this little boutique hotel has a pleasant ambience and very helpful bi-lingual staff. No views to speak of from most bedrooms but the standard rooms are spacious and the beds large and immensely comfortable. All the primary central Athens sites are within walking distance. Slightly... Our visit to Athens, while staying in a hotel Ava was a final part of our trip to Greece. Our best memories of Greece will be always also related to the pleasant and very positive experience in Ava hotel from the first moments, we've got help with every question we asked or potentially could: from a problem to find a... Though location is good, it's an economical hotel or family hotel. All the amenities are three star and its if no luxury or high standard of a four star hotel. Service is not a problem but to add a bed is 100 dollars in a star hotel is not right.
