Great service, really helpful staff, great rooms with lots of space. Great rooftop pool and views. So relaxing to chill and have a drink by the pool. Have stayed here twice and would definitely book here again! Great selection for breakfast and wonderful dinner on the rooftop but need to book early so you get a table!

I realy liked this hotel, i reserchead quiet a few hotels before choosing Melia, the only thing that was a bit desapointing was that the rooftop bar was closed for The season. Wich was comprehensiv. The rooms were comfortable and quite spacious. The breakfast was ok but the Staff was amazing, upon arrivel the front desk girl Efi, gave us... More

Found the hotel on Priceline.com & booked it only a few days in advance. Upon arrival we were all upgraded to rooms with Jacuzzi's. The staff was outstanding- especially Thanasis T. who was like a personal concierge. He helped us with finding a great restaurant only a couple blocks away, as well as, assisted us with getting around the city.... More

This review comes in a little late, as I stayed at the property in September 2015. We chose the property as it was recommended by a friend and the value seemed unbeatable. It is a business hotel, to Meliá’s standards. We knew it was not right in Plaka and were prepared to take taxis and/or the subway to move around,... More

Hotel absolutely lovely, worth upgrading with spa bath :) Hotel staff very polite and welcoming. However, on our first night we just went for a walk, and trusted our sense of direction to find somewhere to eat.... we did eventually, but found the city a little un-nerving at night. Athens is struggling with Greece's financial situation and the number of... More

Excellent hotel. Very hospitable employees, good gestures from the hotel's behalf can be surprising and facining, they succeeded in that during my stay. I would have wished if there was a piano in the lobby my stay would have been completely perfect. Hoping next time i visit I will find one. Other than that thank you melia

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and was pleased I did. It is in a nice part of town, very close to shopping, restaurants and museums. Most of all I loved the Roof Top Bar & Pool VIEW of the Acropolis. It is beautiful at night! The room was large & modern with a really cool bath. I wish... More

Nice hotel overall, well located downtown (especially if you like wall tags all around... sorry a bit sarcastic). It would be even better if the Roof top could be open all year around (with the Swimming-pool, and nice view on Acropolis). However, it is indeed closed from November until May...winter closing. Too bad, it was one of the great advantage... More

Staying in Exarchia

Neighborhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
