Melia hotel is very clean. The room is spacious and the service is outstanding. Breakfast is good. Espresso can be served if requested at no extra fee. The top floor's restaurant has a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The location is superb as Melia hotel is not at the center of the shopping area. It is within pleasurable walking distance... More

We stayed at the Melia Athens after switching from another hotel in Athens. The Melia is a good hotel with nice rooms, bathrooms and common facilities. We especially loved the spacious beds and the marble bathroom with wonderful shower and bathing facilities. The rooftop pool is really nice and the views are good. The drink menu at the rooftop bar... More

A little out from some of the sites but close to metro. Easy metro to navigate so not real far from anything. Great pool bar with a great view of the Acropolis. Would we stay again. Also, try and find the Cretan restaurant near by. You won't be disappointed. Will we stay there again, you bet.

Overall, we had a somewhat disappointing stay in Melia Athens. For a Melia hotel, it was definitely below expectations. The decor of the room was very old style (1990s), brown carpet which was stained from overuse, no free wifi in the rooms and extremely limited hours for the rooftop swimming pool - it closed at 630pm - exactly the time... Where do I start on this massively overpriced hotel? We checked in to receive an officious receptionist with no customer service skills..... Basic... Come on! Our room stank of smoke and overlooked a busy street. The decoration was is from the early 1990s with pale wood and brown carpet.. The mattress was good quality.. However the pool and roof top... We booked this hoping the quality would be similar to melia in Spain. However we were quite disappointed. The bed was comfortable. However wifi was hard work and breakfast disappointing (powder orange juice in a 4* hotel should not be allowed. Swimming pool packed with children and jacuzzi not very clean. Better hotels in Athens for less money. Its clean... More

It was convenient and SUPER clean which is always my number one demand in a Hotel :) For Europe, the rooms were large! They had free wifi in common areas and in the rooms for an additional cost. Beautiful rooftop swimming pool (also free wifi there) bar.

Superbly friendly, impeccably clean, modern hotel. A quick walk from a main metro stop (Omonoia), but central enough to walk to anything you really want to see, from the Plaka to the Parthenon to major museums. Will stay here again next time, as the price is great for the value.

The Melia hotel was certainly a 5 star experience. We enjoyed our stay there immensely and made use of the great pool and restaurant area (which has a view of the Acropolis!!! Very nice....but....there are not a lot of places to visit by foot outside of the hotel. We had our 14 year old nephew with us and it just... More
