The hotel is very nice, the rooms are cosy and clean. It isn't located in a nice neighbourhood but it's centrally located. Dinner on the rooftop terrace by the swimming pool was great and very romantic. However, the swimming pool is not what we expected. It's small and there's little space around the pool. Also, the bed was really uncomfortable.

Stayed here for a couple nights and although hotel is in a area with a lot of grafity the hotel is very nice and the staff were helpful. We had a lovely spacious room although looking into a void. Pool area lovely on the roof and the breakfasts were very nice with lots of selections.

Ok so we spent two nights at the Melia travelling back from Rhodes. On the day before we arrived I received an email stating I had to provide photocopies of passport, credit card used for booking and to fill out a form and return...they gave me 4 hours to complete this or our room would be cancelled. So it was... More

I've just spent a couple of nights in the Melia with my very disabled Mum getting ready to join a cruise. Some of the hotels on Tipadvisor who said they had wheelchair access had steps at the front door, so this was a really good surprise. Everything accessible, good disabled room, really friendly staff. The best bit was dinner on... More

This hotel has some very good features - the rooms are well very comfortable and well decorated and the pool area is a nice treat with a great view of the acropolis. However, the hotel is let down on a number of service issues. Firstly, WIFI is only free in communal areas. In-room wifi is 5 Euro per hour which... More

We were surprised at how tired the interior of this Melia seemed. Perhaps we've just been lucky with the previous Melias we've stayed in. The area isn't great but it certainly isn't as dangerous as some of the reviews here suggest. We felt perfectly safe walking to and from the centre of Athens. It took us about half an hour... More

This hotel is very good. The view from the Sky Lounge of the Acropolis is amazing, especially at night (if you need a table for dinner, best to book) breakfast in great with good choices, it can get busy though. The location is walkable to all the sites and the rooms are lovely. Altogether an enjoyable stay.

A friend and i stayed at Melia Hotel for a weekend and it was a nice stay. People were too kind and ready to help you. Location is good about 5-7 minutes away from metro station at Omonia. Very clean and comfortable rooms with lot of mirrors!

Melia Athens Hotel is situated in the business district of Athens and is approximately 25 - 30minute walk to the Plaka area and the Acropolis. We booked the Level One Experience Room as a stop-over before flying back to Australia which is more expensive than their other rooms, but it was the last room left for the date we required.... More
