very well located, close to Omonia square and the Archeology Museum, you can go to both places walking through the noisy center of Athens, rooms are OK (small) and the roof restaurant has superb views over the Akropolis

My husband and I spent a week here in summer 2014. Although the surrounding Omonia Square area was a little unsavoury, we found the hotel itself to be very pleasant and well located for easy access to the sites. Our room was quite, clean and well facilitated - the Jacuzzi bath was a god send after a day of hoofing... More

Me and my girlfriend has our personal bag with both our passports, money/cash, bank/credit cards, and other ID's swiped (literally) from under my legs while on the ancient rock at the Acropolis in Athens on a Saturday. We were left with barely enough cash from my pocket and a credit card to survive until Monday when the Embassies would re-open... More

Stayed 4 nights to discover Athens, the location is very good, but need to walk 15 minutes to city center. Good standing building with noise isolation. Jacuzzi in the room. Mattress was very soft, it wasn't that good. The breakfast was not good at all, I totally regret paying for it (even half price), it's kind of a joke while... More

I am staying in Melia Athens regularly for 3 years now, during my business trips. The Hotel is central located, close to amenities and the Omonia area has been cleaned a lot during the last year. Personnel is always ready to support, smiling and addressing clients with an open heart. The breakfast is extremely rich and the yogurt with figs... More

I completed the Athens Marathon with my son on Sunday 9th Nov 2014, the hotel accommodation was excellent , the service was first class and the staff were extremely helpful and are to be commended. The staff arranged for a much needed sports massages, which was excellent . The food was of good quality and reasonably priced and the wifi... More

We had a very pleasent stay for a long weekend. It was easy to take the metro from Omonia Square. The only thing we was not complet satisfied with, was the bed. The bathroom was excelent, and the breakfast was very god. We had a Suprem room.

Brilliant service even from the reservation stages, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is of high standard, lovely staff and rooms clean. We were a little disappointed that the rooftop bar and swimming pool were closed for winter as it was still warm and sunny but we had enough sight seeing to keep us occupied! We had breakfast one... The rooms at the Melia are nicely decorated but I am not a fan of carpet especially if it is stained. The location is not the best in Athens. It is close to Omonia square and metro station, but it is a half hour walk to the Plaka. There are very few restaurants closeby. Dining options in the hotel are... More

It's a decent property with superb location. However, staff is not friendly as tehy should be alse the pool timings are from 10AM, which to me is too late. Overall the location made it very easy for us to travel on foot throughout. Also wifi was not the best in public areas, and room wifi was paid so we did... More
