We stayed at Melia for one night before cruise. We felt that the Melia was to far away from the port so cruisers beware! The reception staff could not have been more friendly to us on arrival. The room was furnished well although the carpet is grubby and stained. The roof bar has amazing views. I felt that the previous... more

I stayed for three nights last September. I specifically requested a room with a tub with the jacuzzi jets and was not disapointed. Our room was clean and nicely furnished. The view from our room was nothing to speak of- but the roof was amazing. There is a bar also on the roof, and food is also served. We had... more

The area is dubious but easy to get to the centre and main attractions. Definitely not a five star hotel as we have experienced in other parts of the world. The roof garden with small pool is a good place to relax in. The staff here were friendly and efficient although the drinks and food were expensive. Our room was... more

Before I have booked this hotel, I have been told by serveral of my Greek friends that in Athens even if you are willing to pay, you may not necessary guarantee good room or service. Melia Athens has been recommand by more than one friends. They both said the same thing: you will pay for the price but on the... more

We stayed here for a night, before our trip back to the US. I had to cancel the previous night because i was sick in Corfu and could not get a working internet connection. Explained this at the hotel and still would not give me any credit toward a room, even though my cancellation was four hours after the official... more

As already mentioned the hotel does not have the best of locations, however I did not find the immediate area scary or a problem to get about in at night as long as you stuck to the main roads. The rooms were four star standard and were clean although the carpet had seen better days. Bathroom was clean and nicely... more

We normally expect good thing from the Melia chain of hotels. Unfortunately the Melia didn't live up to all our expectations. The hotel was good and, for the price, excellent value but we would probably look around if we went again. The hotel is near the centre but not in the best location. It is typically chic and well decorated.... more

When we first found the deal for this hotel we were really happy as it was described as a 5* hotel in the heart of athens and getting 2 days before leaving, we couldnt imagine anything better. However the minute we arrived there we realised why it was so reasonable. it was in the middle of an area called omonia... more

checked in with my wife and 16 yr old son for 3 nights through website "booking.com". The triple room was a double room with a rollaway bed; knew this before hand so no snags. However, the extra bed was not suitable for anyone older than about 8 yrs old and should certainly not be classed as a triple room. After... more

We stayed at this hotel for a short city break and throuroughly enjoyed it! We stayed on the 8th floor in a larger deluxe room and it was superb - clean, roomy and luxurious! I would definately stay there again having stayed in various other Athens hotels! more
