Really good location just a minute walk from Monastiraki. Friendly staff, great view to the Acropolis from the roof bar. Clean enough, not long ago renovated. Bad thing about the hostel was the size of dorms. It resembles more a train compartment than a bedroom. The bathroom was tiny as well, to take shower you need to sit on the... More

Clean, excellent location. Very short walk to Plaka, the Acropolis and Monastiraki Square and the Metro there which takes you to the airport and Piraeus port. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm with a private bathroom for a very good price. Rooms are a bit small but nothing more than you would expect. Stayed in a couple hostels/hotels in Athens... More

This place is newly renovated. Really nice bartender and the rooftop bar is a wonderful place to meet people. It was really clean and the location is perfect. Almost hotel standard for a cheap price. is has air conditioning, and the reception is nice. You get a free welcome shot.

More a hostel than a "hotel" but still great! Easy walk to the main shopping streets and quick walk to the Acropolis. Nice clean rooms. Only downsides are that there are no lockers in the room- they are down a floor- and the toilet and showers are in the room and are a little cramped. Otherwise enjoyed it!

We booked a 8 bed dorm room for one night. The price is cheap and the location is good. Just 5-10 minutes walk from the nearby metro station and also walkable distance to Acropolis. 1€ per day locker is good. The roof top bar is great. You can see the nice view in Athens , watching the sunset and the... More

Small dorms, no common areas, breakfast not included, staff could be doing with learning more info on tours and local activities. Clean and well located though. Lockers available downstairs for €1 per day for any bags. Bar on top floor with great view.

Well first of all I was pick-pocketed on my way from the Metro station to the hostel, at midnight, so please be extremely careful with your possessions. This is a popular tourist area, the thieves know it and are always looking for targets, particularly stupid ones who walk out of the Metro and immediately start taking photos of the Parthenon.... We decided to stay overnight flying through Athens to visit the Acropolis. The Pella Inn was excellent choice. We have booked one bed room (this is hostel) and we got 4th floor with balcony and Acropolis view. They have also roof top bar with nice view and free welcome shot. Even they are hostel-kind of accommodation, their one bed rooms... More

I've stayed at a number of hostels in my travels, but so far this was the one that felt the most hotel-ish. It was a very modern and newly renovated room in a way that made me feel like they'd spent more money on designing it than is usually done on hostels. There was even a little balcony and and... We have been traveling all over Europe and stayed in many Hostels. This is the worst. Ok it was clean, but not enough room for humans in the 4 person room. Bathroom does not have shower or tub. Drain in floor next to toilet with shower spray 3 feet from floor. Are we to sit on toilet to shower? We... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
