Hotel is lovely. Close to the station but the surrounding is not too pleasant. There is a derelict building right opposite. Thought this didn't bother us you have to be a little careful at night. Breakfast at hotel was nice. Lots of variety. The bar in the lobby is fantastic. Very clean hotel, and spacious rooms. Great value for money. more

I stayed here twice as part of a Greek Island Hopping package. The hotel is around the corner from Omonia Square and we had no problems walking around at night. Our room was small and well appointed. The reception were friendly and helpful they even found my hat that I had left behind on checking out the first time. Breakfast... more

After arranging our vacation in Greece to the island of Poros, we thought that it would be a good idea to visit Athens for 2 days in order to visit the new Acropolis museum. Checking on the internet, we found that the cheepest price for Alassia Hotel in Athens was through www.bookinhotels.com. The reservation was made at the begining of... more

that hotel is great when you are in athens for business. firstly it has a very convenient location, just a few meters of the omonia metro (underground). secondly is location is just a few meters from omonia square the central meeting point of Athens and where many of the avenues begin with shops etc. the rooms are spacious, no noise... more

We were told by a travel agent this was a 4-star hotel. What a disappointment! The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were gross--lumpy and dirty. The bathroom plumbing left something to be desired. It was 'spring break' while we were there and many students were booked without enough chaperones to keep them under control. This poorly insulated hotel allowed... more

Me and my girlfriend went to Greece in mid-July and stayed at the Alassia Hotel. Previous to the departure greek friends told us that the Omonia square and its surroundings have the highest crime rate in Athens (except maybe for the Piraeus port area) but we thought it couldn't be that bad. Well: IT WAS. The street is very dirty... more

The Hotel rooms are small even on European Standards. The taxi we took from the airport couldn't find a place to park in front of the hotel, he left us half a block away. It's dark, the elevators are small (european standard), the clerk and reception desk could use some fine tunning towards dealing with non greek tourism, the bathroom... more

visited Athens with my wife for 4 days early march. this is the second time we stayed at The Alassia hotel which was recently refurbished . We liked the new wooden floors and new decoration in the rooms. Service was once again very good and a late check out was given without any charge. Hotel's position is excellent 1 minute... more
