We loved this hotel north of the Acropolis. The neighborhood is off the tourist radar, but very convenient to both Syntagma and the Parthenon (both easy walking distance). It's two blocks from the Omonia Metro stop. The hotel is very upscale, has a roof top bar, restaurant and pool area, all with views of the Acropolis. The included breakfast rates... More

We arrived to Hotel Fresh around 10:00a.m. the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check into our room early which was so helpful because we were extremely tired from our flight. The room and bathroom were clean. The only thing that was uncomfortable is the size of the bathtub being that it was too small... More

We chose Fresh Hotel for our stay in Athens and couldn't be happier with the choice! We were close to the Metra, transportation was arranged for us to the airport when we left, and the view of the Acropolis at night us absolutely breathtaking! The desk staff was helpful, the rooftop bar has the BEST staff! We enjoyed every afternoon... More

The Fresh hotel in Athens is centrally located. It makes commuting to the various sites very easy. The staff are very informative and helpful. They serve good breakfasts. The downside being that they do not have tea facilities in the rooms and the meals at their restaurant are very expensive. Use the hop on hop off bus to get around the... More

We stayed only one night! The room was dirty...dust and stains everywhere. During the night we got bitten from insects (despite the fact that we didn’t open the window because we had the most awful view on the courtyard). Plastic sheets on the bed caused the most uncomfortable sleeping ever (sweating during and wrinkles all over your body in the... More

Dear Guest, We have carefully read your comments regarding your recent stay at fresh hotel and it concerns us that your expectations were not met . It also concerns us why the situation was not reported to us immediately so that we could respond accordingly. Since we are running on full occupancy and all our rooms get serviced every day... We spent 4 nights at Hotel Fresh and the experience was fabulous! The staff is friendly and helpful; the location very clean, safe and convenient; and the views from the rooftop are incredible! The Montasaraki and Omonia metro stations are nearby and there are good restaurants and shopping in short walking distance.

Good located hotel but nothing special. Rooms are modern abd clean but attention to detail is missing. It's apparently 'cool' but we missed authentic style. 140 Euros for one night. Breakfast was fine just a little loud (feels like canteen). Nice rooftop bar and friendly check-in!

We stayed here for two nights before journeying onto Athens. We hadn't been expecting much but found it much better than we thought. If you can find space on the rooftop- the bar staff are chatty and fun, and it's worth a dip and drink. The breakfast has a wide variety for all tastes and the rooms although on the... More

The hotel has a fantastic location, adjacent to the market and twenty minutes from the Acropolis. It's best feature is the roof bar and pool, with a fantastic view of the Parthenon. On my first day, too tired to go out, I ordered octopus and Santorini peas in the bar, which was excellent. It is a design hotel, and the... More

We stayed for one night in this hotel the room was a little small but the rooftop bar was amazing at night and the view from up there was breathtaking. The area the hotel was in was not nice at all we came across lots of homeless people and people doing dodgy things in the steeet

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
