A really cool bar which serves great cocktails and plays upbeat music. poolside restaurant with an open view of Athens. Such a great hotel, I will definitely come back in the future with friends or family.

If all you are looking for is a clean bed then Fresh hotel provides just that. No view on my balcony but only of a demolished wall. I wouldn't say anything is special about this hotel besides the rooftop lounge/restaurant that gives you a glimpse of the Acropolis and panorama of Athens. Buffet breakfast was superb and better than all... More

We have just stayed at fresh hotel for 4 nights. On the first night check in our bathroom door was broken, locking people in. We had a 3 year old boy with us so called reception. They were very unhelpful and it took over an hour of debate before an engineer fixed the door. The manager the next day was... More

A trendy hotel that stands out from its surroundings in central Athens. Very friendly staff and amazingly clean and comfortable. There were 4 of us in single rooms and perfect size for one person. The bed is a single size bed but super comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in any hotel anywhere in the... More

We did not stay here but we used the rooftop bar and restaurant which also has a pool deck and loung area. Very relaxing, great music and fantastic view of Acropolis day and nighttime. Service very good. Close to Monastiraki Square which is full of eating places, shops and ruins nearby.

Good modern hotel. Friendly service, nice breakfast and relative new rooms. Highlight is the roof terrace with a nice lounge area, beautiful pool and stunning 180 degrees view over Athens and the Akropolis. Definitely recommend if you like to stay in the center

Great for what we were looking for. We had two nights in Athens at the tail end of our trip to Greece. We were just looking for a clean place to lay our heads. The top bar was excellent. Drinks and salads wee fabulous and recommend the truffle chips! Bathroom had nice products. Wish we didn't end up with two... More

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The service from staff was also acceptable but they don't seem to be very forthcoming with information. Example 1: When we asked if there was a mini market around for us to buy water, a male staff replied that it was closed until Monday (it was on a Saturday... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
