I've been at the fresh for a night waiting for my sailing vacation to start. It was my second time at the Fresh and everytime I have the same feeling of a very nice hotel in the very center of Athens. The rooftop is great, with a great view at the acropolis, the pool is small but it's enough to... More

The hotel is in a great location to explore the city on foot or is near to the metro. Further down the street is a little ropey so be aware but we usually turned left to walk to town and didn't have any issues. Athens is a maze of small streets so we were prepared to seek out what we... More

A great modern style hotel well located to everything. Staff incredible, so attentive. Good sized rooms, outstanding roof top bar and restaurant (moussaka = sublime). Also I had been unwell and staff constantly enquiring after how I was feeling. Would not stay anywhere but here next time around..

The location is central, the rooms modern and stylish, the view from the rooftop terrace breathtaking. The Acropolis is within your grasp and beautifully lit at night. A nice modern hotel that is ideal for a Szopover or a slightly longer holidays

Modern style hotel with bright colours everywhere. Felt welcome. Room and amenities nice - but décor beginning to fade in a few places. Curtains made use of the balcony door difficult, nearly had them off the railing once. A few small quibbles about the finish in the bathroom which will probably be repaired at season end and why present stained... More

It was ok, but nothing special. The staff was not very friendly. Good place if you go with friends or family or you stay for one night. The roof views are nice, but terrace was overcrowded and noisy. It is convenient, nothing more. In a walking distance from Plaka neibourghood.

A great hotel, very clean and modern, with helpful staff, and central to all the sights. First of all, February in Athens is VERY VERY COLD! We packed expecting warm autumn-like weather, and were greeted by ice and even a little snow! So please bear this in mind when packing for a February break! You will DEFINITELY need a Winter... Good hotel, nice and clean room. friendly staf that was always prepared to answer any questions I had. Very good breakfast!! The only downside to my stay, was the bad isolation of the rooms. I could hear everything the young couple with kids next door said to each other.

Great location to shops and sightseeing and nice comfortable rooms. Also, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. More importantly my daughter left her wallet and they mailed it back with cash and credit cards intact!!!! Staff was incredible! Please give this great hotel business.

Although the area is far to be attractive, the location of Fresh hotel is ideal. 8 minutes walk to Monastiriki, 15 minutes to Syntagma (avoid Omonia square area !). Very nice and confortable rooms, cosy atmosphere and available professional staff. The must is the roof top area, with the swimming pool and a very relaxing bar. The food served is... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
