The hotel is not exactly in a prime location, but there are other features that make more than up for it. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the bar/ restaurant with a pool on the top floor provides for a spectacular view. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. If anything, it's the small elevators that could be... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in March 2015. The hotel is a short walk from the main train station that takes you straight back to the airport. We found the staff very friendly and the hotel being very clean. The rooms are fairly basic and would recommend like we did acquiring a room with... More

My partner and I chose this hotel because we are fans of the Design Hotels - the Fresh is one of them. We liked the location: main cultural sites/central square can be reached on foot in a few minutes. The rooms are simple though modern, clean and spacious. There was some noise from the main street but nothing too bad... More

This is a super hotel. The location is excellent....all the main tourist sites are within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is just off a busy road and between two metro stops so easy to get to from the airport. Lovely, friendly staff. Beautiful rooms, quirky, boutique in feel. Very clean and funky in style. The rooftop restaurant/ bar does delicious food... More

My aunt and I stayed here and loved it! The rooms are modern and very clean. Breakfast is included has a very generous buffet. We had an early flight out on check out and they provided us a breakfast bag to take with us! I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel, as most reviewers have posted, is in a very convenient location. You can walk to Acropolis, and to excellent local restaurants. The decor is minimalist modern, which is really nice. Fresh Hotel offered the best buffet breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in while in Greece. Excellent. What made the difference was the hotel staff. My group... More

Excellent, reasonably priced hotel in a great location. Would happily stay there again. Very close to the markets , bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk to most of the attractions. The breakfast room is a little garish in pink neon first thing in the morning but the machine supplying fresh orange juice made up for it.

This hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The area is not the nicest but its not that bad as far as I was concerned. They roof top bar is a must as the view of the Acropolis is really nice at night. We enjoyed our stay

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
