we ve been by the end of Novemebr visiting Athens for the trade show XENIA. We ve booked 2 Junior Suites at the Athenian Callirhoe. As it was the second time for me and my colleagues first time visiting Athenes, except of visiting the trade show, we also were interested on sightseeing and shoping in Athens. TAC's location is perfect for such plans. Just 5min from the new Archaeological Museum of Acropolis and to Plaka... more

There was nothing particularly outstanding about the Athenian Callirhoe, and I would certainly not call it "Exclusive" either, but I disagree with other reviewers' complaints. The lobby and room were very clean and the amenities were new and modern. Anyone who thinks the rooms are small hasn't spent much time traveling in Europe! Same with the elevator, it has the usual small box that only fits two people plus luggage - definitely feels tiny by... more

I certainly would not call this hotel "Exclusive"!!!! It was just average. Very small rooms and woman at front desk gave very short answers to our questions which mislead us on several things. We needed Euros instead of dollars and asked about that. She told us to go quite a long ways to do that since it was Sunday and banks were closed. We got information from someone else to just go around corner to... more

The hotel was updated, clean, and in a great location. If you are used to European sized hotel rooms, then you'd be surprised at how spacious the rooms were. They reminded me of a room at the Marriott, if you will. The metro is about 3 blocks away and the hotel is in a good neighborhood. You can also walk to just about anywhere from this hotel (Acropolis, Plaka, etc). The gym is small: one... more

I stayed there with my wife, during a recent trip to Athens. The hotel is located a 15' walk from the new Acropolis museum. This is its only strong point. However, it's on a busy street and it has no parking. That can be a real problem. It's a small hotel, with a below par lobby and rather cramped spaces, without a warm and cozy feeling you get at other hotels. The room was also... more

This hotel is very close to the Acropolis and other sites, but we found it to be very expensive given the massively stained carpets, beyond minimalist rooms and the smarmy front desk staff. The roof bar, which was supposed to be lovely and have a view of the acropolis was closed for an unknown time for "maintenance". When we asked the front desk to call a restaurant, he said it was no good and called... more

You get what you pay for and the Athenian Callirhoe Exclusive Hotel is no exception. Overall, a decent hotel with large, nicely appointed rooms at a reasonable price. Front desk staff tend towards the supercilious and enjoy providing one-word answers to queries. Housekeeping staff, however, were great. The hotel is a 9-minute walk to the new Acropolis museum and a 6-minute walk to the metro. There are numerous good restaurants near the Metro station, which... more

We stayed with and extended family of both young (teenage) and old (86) and found the hotel a perfect location for exploring Athens. We got also extremely good rates even if we booked only 2 days before. Airconditioning was working (thank god, because there was a heatwave in Athens) and so was the showers. Normal noice level on airconditioning and everything was fine. We had no problem parking 2 cars and the reception saw to... more

The hotel was clean, in a safe area, and near the metro. One stop from the Acropolis, two from Syntagma square made it a nice location! The meal on the top of the restraurant was excellent, and with a great view of the Acropolis. more

We went in this hotel after had problems with the Acropolis Select Hotel. (And for that we had a special price). The Hotel is clean, the rooms are nice and there's no traffic rumor. There's the cable connection to internet in the room and the wirless connection in the hall. The staff is friendly and ready to help anytime. The first day we were late for breakfast and they let us have it without problems!... more
