If it's boutique, it's for me! Very nice hotel in the parliament district and only a 10 min walk to plaka. Hotel is fairly new. You get the same amenities of the adjacent hotel, Bretagne, which is sister hotel/same owner. Our room was small and didn't have a view, but it was clean and updated which we appreciated. I recommend... More

I and my husband went there after our wedding. We booked a small suite. We got a regular room at the Grand Bretagne for the same price but we decided to go for a bigger room. We got there after a long flight and the staff was friendly. They gave us an upgrade to a bigger suite. Internet was included... More

This hotel is awesome. The service is impeccable, the accommodations are exceptional and the mattress and pillows are heavenly. The location is grwat, right on the square and within walking distance of the Acropolis. The only drawback is that they do not offer transportation to r from the airport but the Metro is easy to navigate. Highly recommend this hotel!

This is a beautiful hotel situated at the best place possible if you are visiting Athens and have time to kill. Right in the center, the luxury of this hotel is stunning and will make you feel like a King. The suites are relatively small for the price you are paying but I shouldn't complain although the bath is indeed... More

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is second to none, and the service was as good as it gets. The restaurant on the 7th floor served us wonderful breakfast with a view overlooking Acropolis. We also had dinner at this restaurant, and the food was simply fabulous. We booked a private tour of Athens through the hotel,... More

I and my friends booked two classic rooms at the King George for two nights. The rooms were internal looking but very nice standard and not badly overlooked with comfortable bed and fine linens. Me friends were busy visiting relatives so I was hanging at the hotel perhaps more than them. Only negatives were lack of do not disturb signage... More

Property is a 35€ ride from the airport taking maybe 25 minutes. The location is just great. We walked all over Athens from this location and never rented a car. Metro is less than a block away but we never ended up utilizing it. Views at night of the Acropolis are incredible! Concierge services are a great help for restaurant... More

We had a great stay at the King George. The room was gorgeous and spacious, we had a studio suite (upgrade due to SPG Platinum status). The hotel was classic and not over the top. Everyone was incredibly helpful, from the folks holding the front door open (the door is a little heavy) to the front desk to the servers... More

Located in the heart of the city, this is the perfect place to stay. Beautifully furnished spacious rooms, excellent service, professional, polite and very helpful reception staff. Everyone speaks English and eager to help you with everything: from restaurant reservation to booking a private tour.

Great location - right on Constitution Square with access to the subway. The room was spacious and comfortable with excellent service. Complimentary breakfast served each morning with excellent food and service. We ate on the rooftop terrace with a perfect view of the Acropolis. The concierge was most helpful and all of the staff was efficient and gracious. Free wifi... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
