We had a twin room on the first floor. Perfectly adequate size with desk, wardrobe and plenty of storage. The bathroom was like a UK en-suite but the shower was the full width of the room so on the generous size. Loo, basin were crammed in but there was a cupboard under the basin for toiletries. A door that opened... More

Personnel is very friendly. Two different rooms have been tried at different times: rooms are ok, shower room is very small, bed is very good, noise in the corridors can be heard very clearly inside the room, but no noise from outside the hotel. Breakfast is ok, however not amazing. The view on the Acropolis is worth it.

I was not expecting such a nice hotel, considering the price I paid and the location (very central and quiet area). The hotel is brand-new or at least freshly renovated, rooms are clean, nicely furnished and well isolated, the staff is very kind and the breakfast room has a breath-taking view on the Acropolis. I stayed in a double room... More

I just stayed here for six nights and really can't fault it. The location is perfect, a quiet pedestrian street in Plaka, the hotel is clean, there was plenty of hot water and when I wanted heat in the room I called reception and it was there straight away. Fresh fruit would have been nice at breakfast otherwise it was... More

Located in a sweet little lane in Plaka, where you would feel like home after spending whole day outside enjoying the city. With where the hotel locates you can get yourself to Acropolis, Ermou street and to many must visit spots just by walking. Simply awesome! They do not offer various breakfast choices, but cool enough for you to start... More

My husband and I had a 24-hour layover in Athens and stayed here for one night. It was ideally located within walking distance of Syntagma metro station, right in the heart of the city and very easy access to the airport. The reception staff were very friendly, and checkin and checkout were done in record time! The room was a... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2014

December turned out to be uncrowded and ideal in Athens. We were happy here for 4 nights on the third floor, despite the very small double bed and minute bathroom - which, however, worked well. All modern and extremely clean, and the staff proved very helpful. It wasn't noisy, but the bed was too narrow to allow two people to... More

Very good location, nikos on reception is very courteous and helpful. But the rooms are far too small and the bathrooms are minuscule my husband struggled to get into the shower & when he did he couldn't move. No heating in december & felt damp & inside of the windows were dripping water.

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
