We enjoyed our stay here very much and would go back again. Very friendly and polite, flexible staff. Pleasant, clean rooms. Great location. You can walk to all important sites. Nice restaurants in the area. It is in Plaka but jn a street where you still can have the feeling to be away from the tourist crowd.

This hotel is in a great location. It's an easy bag roll from Sympagna metro station which means you can save the taxi fare and get the train from the airport with no line changes. It's a 2 minute walk from the main Plaka tourist strip, 10-15 minutes walk from the Acropolis museum and 10 minutes from the Flea Market... More

This hotel is in one bylane. The car can't take you to the door step. You need to drag your bags yourself. Very tiny hotel. Smallest rooms possible. They have a funny system. Even after blocking money on your card for booking they yet charge you the room rate in cash before check in. I stayed just one night there... More

This hotel is right in the heart of everything. We can walk to all the major sights in 10 minutes. It's also right on the nice pedestrian walkway for shopping and eating. There's no parking so be prepared to parallel park in a tight spot or pay for a high priced lot. The rooms are good sized and clean. The... More

The Adonis Hotel is perfectly located for a visit to the Acropolis and the new stunning Acropolis museum. And it is well situated for dining out in the Plaka. The rooms are small but well equipped with everything needed for a short stay and the hotel has an upstairs breakfast and drinks room which offers an incomperable view of the... More

We had a twin room on the first floor. Perfectly adequate size with desk, wardrobe and plenty of storage. The bathroom was like a UK en-suite but the shower was the full width of the room so on the generous size. Loo, basin were crammed in but there was a cupboard under the basin for toiletries. A door that opened... More

Personnel is very friendly. Two different rooms have been tried at different times: rooms are ok, shower room is very small, bed is very good, noise in the corridors can be heard very clearly inside the room, but no noise from outside the hotel. Breakfast is ok, however not amazing. The view on the Acropolis is worth it.

I was not expecting such a nice hotel, considering the price I paid and the location (very central and quiet area). The hotel is brand-new or at least freshly renovated, rooms are clean, nicely furnished and well isolated, the staff is very kind and the breakfast room has a breath-taking view on the Acropolis. I stayed in a double room... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
