Staff are not friendly at all,the important thing to them is your money and the owner was so rude expecially if you have children he shouted at the kids and telling them not to eat in the dining area No hairdryers in the room as they said and one filthy broken iron which is dangerous to use and can easily... We booked a 3 person room as there were no 2 person rooms available. We stayed 4 nights. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed its fresh new upgrade. Every thing about the hotel was appealing. Friendly and helpful staff, perfect location for the Acropolis, perfectly cooked and presented food served in the plaza beside the hotel (Rio... More

While the location and size of room were o.k. the fact that there were no bed covers, only sheets, broken shower heads, extremely moldy shower curtain, ran out of toilet paper, made it hard to tolerate. Although staff was accommodating, the management seemed lacking - could not give accurate directions from airport to hotel, did not welcome our large group,... More

Rio earned 5-stars from me because service goes a long way for me and the gentleman who greeted me made sure daily I received good advice in getting around Athens, where to go, the best way to go, plus he drew me a good map I used for my 1-day walking tour. I only paid ~$50 USD per night total... More

Stayed 2 nights mid Sept 2014. Euro $35 taxi fare from Airport. Location is 2 mins walk from local train station. Taxi stand next to train station. Stayed in room 257. Average, nothing fancy. Dirty blankets. Booked for double beds, received 2 single beds joined together (kept falling into the "middle" gap at nights hahaha). Air con working one night... More

Free WiFi but, only 3 hours per 1 password, you need to keep bothering hotel staff for more, Location is good that is near metro but, its not a pretty area. The rooms are very old and low quality. Overall i think the value makes it worth a try.

We made a reservation for a room for my wife, our son (13) and myself. On arrival "somebody" explained we have to take our son in our bed, because they have no extra bed.......why are they selling a room for three. The place is run down and very dirty..........we did not get our money back.......a total loss....... stay away from... More

Initial concerns about area but once arrived did not have any worries. Nice clean hotel. Great price and metro within 5 minute walk. Lots of local cafes and bars. Supermarket, local market and laundry within 10 minute walk. Did not have breakfast but enjoyed the snacks and meals I had there. Staff were really helpful and very friendly. A great... More
