We stayed here one night as we were passing thru from Crete and had to catch a flight the next day. We arrived at 7 AM having come off the morning ferry. The front desk person was very nice. He let us check in and take breakfast right away. From our room (#509) we could see the Parthenon. Breakfast on... more

We first stayed at the Evripedes Hotel in November 1965 -- with our two daughters, ages 1 and 5. The next time we stayed there was several days ago, April 2009. And it is still a very good bargain and a nice place to stay. Nice clean rooms, very helpful people at the desk, and a convenient location for walking... more

This hotel was good. The only downfall was the area! I was in the top floor room, which was priced very decently around $60 and had an excellent view of the Akropolis. However, my room was one floor below the dining area where the hotel serves it free breakfast; I was there over the weekend, and children could be heard... more

Dear Sir, Thank you very mych for your review. We are sorry about the noise you had, but unfortunately it was a group of young children that had to leave early from the hotel and we could not avoid the noise. We will put in the future wooden floor in order to avoid the noise made by the mooving chairs...

We have stayed here several times and always want to come back. The hotel is clean.Rooms basic but comfortable. The owners friendly. A highlight is the wonderful roof terrace with a view of the Acropolis. Here we had a good breakfast with plenty of fruit. Most evenings we sat there for a drink and a look at the illuminated city. Location... more

I think its the best value for money hotel you can get in Athens. The rooms are under £30 and its smack bang in the middle of things. I 've read some of the reviews, so lets get three things straight. 1) This hotel is not a 5 star hotel. Its a two star and your expectations should be adjusted... more

Didn't know whether to rate 3 or 4 really, as the hotel itself was very clean, offered air conditioning, safe deposit box, little fridge and hairdryer in a price per night of just under 50 Euros. Basic and clean with roftop terrace offering wonderful views and a fairly decent breakfast included. Only drawback really was the area. We walked from... more

On balance, it's hard to beat this place if you're mainly looking for a clean room at a bargain price. The location is as reported. Although we found it perfectly safe over four days, those jittery about the look of the immediate location might want to look elsewhere. The street is very much working-class commercial during the day, and quite... more

Saw the reviews here after booking and almost cancelled; glad we didn't. So here's the facts: Athens changes a lot over short areas - more so than most cities. And this place is right on the intersection of three different areas: an area infamous for drugs; a poor area with immigrants; and an area with bars/restaurants and a lot of... more

We visited on our honeymoon and my husband did the booking. Typically we are very easy travelers, but I was not impressed with this place. At night there are many sketchy people on the streets, and I actually was scared to walk around at night. We laughed (from nervousness) when we saw that the roofs of surrounding buildings had caved... more
