We stayed in the Adrian in April 2015 - for 10 days. There were different people at breakfast every day, so I guess most people use it as a stopover. It is in a great spot right in the centre of the old city, north of the Acropolis. The rooms are fairly modern and fairly comfortable, although we personally found... More

Wish I had bothered to take pictures. The room was absolutely nothing like the website. But when we told front desk clerk and manager they both told us the photographer uses the best light! Well that light must have removed mold, changed bedding and carpet and hid dirt. We stayed at 5 places over our 16 day vacation and this... More

Great place for a good price. Extremely well located in the heart of the Adrianou street and the Plaka. Clean rooms with safes and a great little balcony on the street side. As usual the bahtrooms in greece are just compact and "different" you will understand if you visit the country. but very clean! The staff was amazing ( at... More

Well located in the picturesque Plaka district of Athens only a few minutes walk from the Acropolis. Plumbing slightly antequated, but comfortable. Helpful staff. Breakfast in a very pleasant roof garden.

The Adrian Hotel is a clean and tidy facility that is centrally located. Just a block from Hadrian's Library ruins. It provides internet and an excellent base for visiting Athens. We had a room with two single beds and a tub with a shower. Breakfast was available at additional cost.

Perfect spot in Athens. A small hotel with nice rooms. Clean and spacey enough for a city trip. You are walking distance from all the big sights to see in Athens ! Nice breakfast with fresh orange juice! Good value for money !

The hotel is in a fantastic location just a short stroll away from the main square and all of the other attractions. Rooms are fairly modern kept spotless only thing that let it down was the beds which where very uncomfortable. The staff are very friendly and will not hesitate to help you with directions and general queries. We had... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
