The Plaza Hotel is in the middle of Athens on Syntagma square. Some rooms have a magnicifent view of the Acropolis. You can walk to the main sites , museums and shops. The parlement building and changing of the guards are a 2 minutes walk from the Hotel. . Many nice real Greek restaurants in the neighboorhood and the Plaka... More

Located in rougher part of town. Room adequate, good shower, great breakfast! Elevators very small, but adequate. Can take stairs for good exercise. Staff friendly and very helpful. Easy walk to metro, cabs are cheap. Appreciate that it was walking distance to magnificient Greek Orthodox church. We stayed on top floor.

Great hotel who gave us a free upgrade on arrival. Clean rooms, clean sheets. Had great views of Athens. Location was close to metro but not in the best part of town. In saying that though, not once did I feel unsafe at night. The staff were very helpful. The roof top resturant/bar was the highlight. Stunning views of the... More

Hotel was unable to provide a cot in a 3 bed room, luckily we brought our own travel cot and what do you know- there was plenty of space for it! Our bed broke while having sex so we got upgraded to a larger room. Really bad part of town with no decent food nearby, we wanted indian food but... More

Friendly staff. A decent, standard room. The location is in a bad part of downtown Athens. So bad that I barely felt comfortable by day and definitely not at night. Add to that, I was very disappointed that the rooftop restaurant was under construction, so I had NO view of the Acropolis (which was my reason for picking the hotel).... More

While this hotel is used by tour groups, I think it is a little over rated and not as good as advertised. The halls and room decor are worn and dated and need to be updated. Breakfast is OK and plentiful. The rooftop restaurant was very good and would recommend that one have a meal there as the view toward... More

As long as you're not expecting luxury, you should be happy with this hotel - it is clean, the staff are friendly and very helpful, and there wrere definitely no bedbugs (well in our rooms at least) as claimed in some of the other reviews. The rooftop bar/restaurant has a great view of the Acropolis and Lycabettus hill, and a... More
