Amazon Hotel was a pleasant enough experience. My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights at the end of July 2008. It is very central to the Plaka, Syntagma and Monastiraki districts. The room was of good standard and a reasonable size. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, and again was of good size. However, they do have this silly Greek rule about not putting toilet paper down the toilet! (They have a little bucket for it). Probably ignored by most people. Amazon Hotel was clean, close to restaurants and more importantly the Acropolis and areas in the Plaka. I enjoyed my stay and you will too. The bathroom was extremely clean, although the beds were small it was no major problem. Breakfast was served promptly at 8:30am on the ground level of the hotel. I will def. stay there again. more

The best thing about this hotel is the location - despite some comments about size of rooms etc. you pay for what you get, and this is extreme value for money considering the area it is in - if you want a bigger room in the Plaka area, you pay for it.
