We loved our 2 night stay at Hotel Amazon. The hotel is a short walk from Syntagma and the Acropolis. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, however the shower was tiny! The A/C worked very well and was a welcome relief from the hot June temperatures in the upper 90s. more

Amazon was in a great location close to public transport and easily walkable distance to all major central city attractions. Staff were helpful and our room was clean and tidy. Stayed here as a quick stopover both ends of an onward journey. It's good value for a one night stay especially since I arrived extremely late one night and it wouldn't have been worth paying more... I'd probably recommend it for a stopover or budget accommodation - although be warned the single beds are very narrow and might not suit... more

This Hotel is in the perfect position to see everything in Athens almost everything is within walking distance, and if you cant be bothered to walk the metro is 2mins away in Syntagma square as well as the Tram and the bus station. The Amazon is a great basic hotel just off Syntagma Square and handy for the metro, trams and the airport bus x95. You can easily explore Plaka, it is only 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is clean and tidy and my room was a good size with air con that worked. The staff were polite, helpful and spoke good... more

What a great hotel in the centre of Athens. Good area, good rooms, good breakfast. Would stay again. And, to make matters better, the famous Glasgow Rangers won in the UEFA Cup. We are the people!!! more
