Cleanness at lowest possible level. Door were not closing. Breakfast was very cheap. Toilets and bathroom are horrible, may be danger for health, because they seem to be not cleaned. Really do not recommend.

We spent 2 nights at this hostel and had a good time. The room and bathroom were clean and you get wifi in there. There is also a nice back patio where you can relax. Breakfast offered was good though limited (french bread, toasts and coffee/tea). The staff is helpful anf the location is great (few minutes walk from all... More

We booked an individual room for 2 and we were shocked with the conditions. It was a cave with a small window and really bad conditions. When we booked it, we had the idea of a balcony. Of course it's never like the pictures but didn't expected a cave. Since we only wanted to sleep in our last night in... More

Authentic Athenian building set in a quiet yet central street. Makes it great for all famous Athens sights. The staff are welcoming and there is a chilled boho vibe all around. Rooms are all themed differently with their art reflecting this. Think rustic , boho chic. The communial court yard garden is adorned with greek , Eastern influence and cats... More

For a double twin room, you'll have two beds with a wardrobe and a chair. The room is quite small and stuffy with no AC and poor wifi connection. Fine to stay for a night but definitely not for longer. There is a common area where you can have your breakfast or just a chill. You also have a shared... More

This little hostel was so charming and had an amazing little courtyard to relax in. The staff were friendly and were happy to advise you on things to do and places to visit. It was so close to all the main tourist attractions and was only a five minute walk into Plaka. The showers were always hot and I always... More

The hostel is ok. I stayed with a friend in a double room with shared bathroom. The room was fine and clean. The shared bathroom was not clean at all but if you stay just for few days is fine because the posizion is perfect, only few minutes walking from the acropolis

I spent roughly a week here and can say you get what you pay for but it isn't below average. The staff are great, some of the best I have seen in my travels. There is free Wi-Fi and a common area for people to hang out. The location is best in Plaka right below the Acropolis and walking distance... More

I stayed there with a couple of friends for a trip. The position is really good, it's close to Acropolis and to some of the main monuments of the city. The rooms are cleaned and large but a little bit cold, they could turn on the heating only for a couple of hours in the night. Shared bathrooms are in... More

It's a very nice place especially for young people who want to spend less than 10 euro per night. Staff availability is great, it's in the centre of the greek capital. Breakfast is included and it's good. Rooms are a little bit cold and wet...maybe in summertime it would not be a problem. I advice to visit the place. Actually... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
