This hotel location is not to close to the center but ten minutes walking from the hotel you can find a metro station (Ambalokipi Station) from here its only three station to syntagma center where you can go to Plaka,Attica Shooping Center,Parliament Building. This hotel it self is quite good,it seems the last time they renovate this hotel before the... more

In search of a hotel in Athens for a weekend, the price of 78 euros/night including breakfast that President Hotel offered was really tempting. The hotel, a huge building with 516 rooms, is located in a residential area, not so far away from the city centre. What is more, Panormou subway station is nearby, so getting to and away from... more

The president is a large civic hotel in the Ampelokipi area of Athens. It’s within walking distance from two subway stations (METRO) where from one can get to Athens center in just 8 minutes paying €1 per ride or €3 per 24 hours. The area itself is rather densely built up and noisy, yet safe. The hotel rooms are very... more

Advantages: - Centrally located with convenient transportation to the historical city centre and airport. Adjacent to Panormou Underground (Metro) Station - Wonderful terrace with swimming pool, bar and views over the whole city - Clean rooms and common spaces - Majority of the rooms have splendid views over the city Disadvantages: - Slightly out-of-date rooms - Dodgy parking facility below... more

This was the 2nd time I stayed in this hotel. The rooms are dated but clean. TV was on the blink, they had BBC World and CNN but not a lot of other English channels. Bathroom is clean enough, shower is powerful but was nearly falling off the wall. Height would not adjust. Bed was comfy. A/c was OK. They... more

I think this hotel has gotten a bad rap from some reviewers. I was booked into this hotel by my colleagues who invited me and, based on the reviews here, I was tempted to ask to be housed somewhere else. In fact, the hotel was quite nice for a large hotel. It is well-located. The room was large and clean,... more

Okay, this is a huge building on the west-north of Athens. I stayed there many times for 1-2 weeks in a row. Plus side: - Nice view from a great rooftop bar with a pool!!! However drinks are expensive - over 5-6 euro a pint. - Not so expensive to stay at - It's near to the metro - 10-15... more

Totally overrated hotel. Certainly not a four star one. From the outside it looks really great but inside the rooms are nothing special and look pretty old and ready to fall apart! In my room the TV was broken and I had to call 3 times to the reception and wait 2 hours for someone not so polite technician come... more
