Hotel has an excellent location, walking distance from Syntagma squire and many other places. We stayed three nights in August, it was hot and A/C was working well, our room was big and clean, big bathroom with a tub. Breakfast is a buffet style with a big variety of food. Breakfast area is on the top of the hotel and... More

Excellent hotel in the heart of everything. No car required, everything is accessible including transport. This hotel isn't fancy but gives you everything you need when in a city like Athens. The room was clean and the view from breakfast was breathtaking. The staff were extremely helpful too. Thanks for an easy stay!

This hotel is located in the perfect spot for tourists. Only 1 block north of Ermou Street and a couple blocks west of Syntagma Square (where lots of public transportation can be accessed), it is a great place from which to head out for the day, on foot or otherwise. The lobby of the hotel is very nice and the... More

The location of the hotel was fantastic: just a couple of minutes from Ermou street and very close to Syntagma and Monastiraki metro stations. The room was spacious (we had a triple room) but the third (foldable) bed was very hard. Also the view of the Acropolis from the roof terrace where breakfast was served was excellent. However, when something... More

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel air conditioning was amazing considering we were there in almost 40 degree heat! The shower was terrible! Pretty much spraying out one stream of water. The bed was comfortable enough and relatively spacious room. We had one or 2 mornings where we were woken up early by another fanily... More

The hotel is a 5-7 minute walk from the closest metro station and the Parliament building. The street on which the hotel is located is very narrow and full of activity, stores and pedestrians. The rooms are spacious but the design and quality is outdated. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant on the top floor. It has... More

I read reviews and there are always opposites. I needed to be in that area and for 75 euros it was good. Great location, breakfast included on top floor with a view of the acropolis. The bus to the airport is a block away and minutes to everything. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom/shower was great. My... More

We've stayed her a number of times over the last 20 years and you can't beat the location (don't miss the rooftop) and the price for central Athens. The bar and breakfast are great and the waiter on the roof in the evenings as well as the bartender in the lobby couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The rooms are... More

My room was old and smelly, with damaged wallpapers. The T.V. was very old and wasn't working properly. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast was very poor. Wi-fi system was not good. The only good about this hotel is its location!

The hotel is located in a prime location, close to everything. Our room rate includes daily breakfast on the roof of the hotel. You can view the majestic Acropolis from the roof. The sunset view is perfect. The breakfast is wonderful and it is a buffet style with a huge variety of food items.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
