This hotel is located in no more than 3 min. walk from Syntagma square-so that is perfect. The room is excellent-spacious with lots of closets, big nice bathroom and clean. The staff is kind and willing to help. With the price of the room you get the breakfast which is a good thing, but the breakfast itself is no more... More

I stayed at the Arethusa on 2 different occasions. The first one, in room 309, there was a noise, I think from a nearby air conditioning equipment or something, which was, though not loud, permanent, and in the second room, n° 702, the bathroom was uncomfortably small. But, otherwise, I liked this hotel very much. Everything is spotless, with brand... More

I wanted a hotel near the bus to the airport, and also within walking distance of museums and the Acropolis. In a budget hotel, I look for functioning furniture and plumbing, along with reasonable cleanliness, and this place had them. I bring earplugs, so I don't know if there was noise. There was a big selection of food for breakfast,... More

The hotel is located in the city center close to Syntagma square and most attractions are within walking distance. The staff is kindly and helpful. There are two small elevators. The room was big enough, comfortable beds, a small refrigerator, central air conditioning, satellite TV, free internet. Nights were pretty quiet and pleasant for sleeping except Friday when was concert... More

Just a few steps from Syntagma Square, but take really good earplugs if you want to sleep at all. The bedrooms are small, but OK, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms, however, were really small and the first shower cubicle we had was so small that standing in it with the shower head fixed to the wall was impossible.... More

I stayed here with my mother for 3 nights visiting Athens. You cannot beat the location of this hotel, it is ideally located for visiting the main tourist attractions and the rooms/facilities are clean. That is about it. Staff service was abrupt, the breakfast was awful and the rooms are really dated and grim. Personally, I didn't really like the... More

Stayed for sight seeing in the center of Athens. Very old Hotel in terms of furniture and room. Since we were not there in the room most of the time, it worked fine. Breakfast ok and continental. Walking distance from syntagama square and Acropolis.

We booked this hotel because we saw previous review said they borrowed a key from the staff to go to the top floor to see night view of Acropolis. But when we ask for it at the night of our check-in, the female staff would not like to borrow us. It was disappointing. 2 euro for left luggage at a... More

The hotel was not what we expected. Rooms were small and dark. Taking a shower was a challenge, even with being careful the bathroom floor flooded. A good thing was very quiet and great location. Just one block from the center of everything that happens in Athens. Booked 3 nights and moved on after two, just needed something more.

We stayed at this hotel as a group of students from the US. The location is unbeatable on Syntagma Square really close to the subway and to the X95 bus that takes you to the airport. It is a budget hotel with older furniture but clean and in decent condition. If the price is right and the only thing you... More
