Excellent location and friendly staff. The hotel is one my favourite spots in Athens. I like the nice views and the more relaxed atmosphere compared to its immediate neighbours, This time however I noticed my room was showing some signs of wear and tear, a pity as it is a lovely hotel which I hope will get some attention soon.... I've been meaning to re-review this hotel that is like a home away from home for our family. The STAFF is FANTASTIC! Front desk, bellman, doorman...all TOP, TOP, TOP!! This past summer DESPITE the crisis and that they were overrun with journalists, etc. they still made us feel very much at home despite all the pressures. The location is fantastic... More

Excellent location, in the heart of Syntagma Square. Very close to the Temple of Zeus and the national gardens from one direction, and close to Monastiraki, Plaka and the Acropolis from another direction. Also a very short walk to the university, the academy and the public library. Big rooms and comfortable beds, however house keeping was not so great. Our... More

The hotel is centrally located and only few steps away from the main shopping area in Athens. You can find everything in the surrounding. From inside the rooms are spacious and clean. What I noticed is that some of the rooms were completely renovated and others not yet. The breakfast was not bad but also not outstanding. The staff was helpful... More

My impression for this hotel is that it is situated in one of the most central areas of the city so it is rather convenient , breakfast was medium , rooms need remodeling and are rather noisy , in general I wasn't very satisfied I consider it a rather medium but still expensive choice .

This hotel is at an ideal location right in the heart of Athens, from a walking distance of all the important sites and posh shopping district on Voukourestiou Street. We stayed on the 8th floor at the junior suite with a view of the Acropolis, which was spacious and offered all the expected amenities, such as toiletries and minibar. The... More

In the centre of Athens, easy accessible to shops, cafeterias and nice life. Staff is very helpful and polite and rooms are clean and comfortable too. Dinner or lunch is expensive to eat in the hotel but there are a lot of places nearby to visit and enjoy.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
