We stayed three nights and we were fortunate to get an upgrade to the 5 th floor with a view of the Acropolis and the city square. The night scene was exceptional. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast in an elegant dining room with plenty of attentive staff. The rooms are elegantly furnished with marble bathrooms which are large. The... More

Met our tour group in this high-rise, very nice hotel in the middle of busy Athens. Perfect for the tourist as it's steps away from the 2 level city tour bus to show you all of Athens highlights so you'll get a lay of the land for future excursions. Steps away from the Presidents abode with the colorful 24/7 changing... More

I am a repeater at the hotel. The location is very important, its clean and people are generally friendly. its unacceptable though that you need to pay for the wifi. The price is on the high level so wifi should have been included.

The location of this hotel is great. We were walking distance to historical sites, shops, restaurants, and bars. Metro stops are nearby with one that goes directly to Athens Airport (€8 each way). I chose to walk all over town and explore Athens on foot. Parliament Square is a good spot to have as a home base location. The staff... More

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the traffic noise. The trade-off is the location, but of course there are great hotels in excellent locations which are quiet. This hotel is easy to reach and well connected unless there is a demonstration at Syntagma. The rooms are classy, clean, and the look is a nice blend of... More

Location: Next to Syntagma Square Accessibility: Can take a Metro from the airport, the Syntagma station is a 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Come out of station towards Syntagma Square and viola, on your right hand corner you will spot the hotel. The path from the station to hotel is luggage friendly so you can opt for using the... More

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Perfect location on syntagma square. Big bathroom but not spotless. I had a room on the 9th floor. The lift stops on the 8th floor, then u have to take another lift (tiny, weird, noisy) to access the 9th floor. No view (from room 911), very noisy when u open the window. Shady... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
