Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. The best feautures with the hotel is its central location and serviceminded staff. The breakfast was also good. If I had to put a finger on something it would have to be the beds, which were a bit to hard.

The hotel has an excellent location at Ermou street in the city centre within walking distance from major attractions (Syntagma square, Acropolis, Museums, Plaka, Monastiraki, Psiri). It is recently renovated and clean with friendly staff and very good breakfast. The only dissadvantage is that it is a little bit noisy but this was not a problem for me.

It is an average 3 star hotel but serves the purpose. The most positive thing about the hotel is its location. It is 3 min walk from syntagma square, close to attractions and a large number of shops and restaurants. Rooms are small with not much of a view but have all the necessary facilities. They are air conditioned and... More

I booked this hotel remembering that few years ago I appreciated not only the good location; now, it's very old, very cold (the air conditioned is very noisy and unefficient). For 20 euros plus /night I found a very new, elegant and modern hotel with better location. very nice the welcome drink, anyway! thank you!

When I booked this hotel through Booking.com they put a hold on my room of 70 euros without telling me. When I asked what this was for, they emailed me to say that they would give it back when I arrived, as a guarantee for them. But the thing is when booking through Booking.com, this is not supposed to happen.... More

Beautiful big room (treated ourselves to the bigger sized room with jacuzzi) bed and jacuzzi were awesome. Excellent location, near the attractions/shopping/transport and very safe, even late at night. Attached bar/bistro is very nice and breakfast is comprehensive and in a beautiful restaurant. Flaws: mould on bedroom wall and breakfast is very busy on the weekends. Overall though, amazing value... More

The hotel is located near the center and near a metro stop, making it a perfect choice for a weekend visit such as mine. Front desk help was generally good, with the exception of one receptionist who promised to send a technician to help me with my safe but did not. I got the safe worked out and the room... More

Unfortunately, its location is the only plus this hotel has. Everything else is basic and average, and for the price, I think you might find better deals. They allow people to smoke on their balconies, and the smell of cigarettes penetrates your room if you crack open your window. The beds are hard like rocks, and coffee is weak or... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
