Marble House hotel is clean, comfortable and within walking distance to main attractions in Athens. Also there is a metro and tram station, as well as bus stop, within a 5 min walk. Also there are many (and good) restaurant options around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Some services, as the AC and breakfast are available upon extra... More

Enjoyable stay in this little hotel which is extremely well located just south of the Acropolis (15 minutes walk to the Acropolis museum, 25 minutes walk to the entrance of the Acropolis). For this kind of location in Athens, the rooms prices are very good value. Further practical aspects on the location is the proximity of a metro station and... More

In the world of budget travel they say you get what you pay for but in the case of Marble House you get much more. This small hotel which is renovated regularly has the feel of an authentic Greek island pension that has been dropped into bustling Athens. It is small (though, to Australians most everything in Europe is small)... More

We had a family room - great location; quiet. We felt like we were in amongst the locals despite only a 10 min walk to the Acropolis and the touristy areas. Friendly and hospitable family run guest house. Note: bathrooms are shared. The room was basic but clean and everything we needed. Our room had a balcony overlooking the tiny... More

I stayed at Marble House alone for 3 nights and together with my sister for one night. The location was perfect - close enough to the tourist attractions, yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. As a single woman I felt perfectly safe walking alone in the neighbourhood at night and was able to walk to all the... More

My husband and I traveled to Athens at the end of October 2014, and this was our first hotel after arriving in Greece. It was just right. It took 10 to 15 minutes or so walk to the Acropolis, museums, and the old city. The hotel is on a small, dead end street, so it was quiet. Our room had... More

We stayed three nights at Marble House. At the time of booking there was only a room with two single beds and shared bathroom available but for a very good rate. Given its rank on trip advisor and it's proximity to the main attractions in Athens we went ahead with the booking. The room was simple but all we needed.... More

We were on a very short visit to Athens to take in the major sites after visiting the islands and this hotel was exactly what we needed. It was extremely affordable, in a perfect location within walking distance to all the historic sites, and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. HIGHLY recommend!

Very well situated (10 minutes walk for the Acropolis, 2 minutes for the subway), and for small budget, it is a quiete and clean place, with every thing you could need (wifi, fridge, ...). The managers will warm welcome you.

We stayed in the Marble House in the first part and last part of our trip to Greece. Christos and his staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms were clean. We had the room with the private bath. Location is perfect as we were within a km of 9 of the top 10 sites in Athens. We walked... More
