Acropolis View offers good value for money in a likeable area of Athens. During my first visit to Athens I stayed in the heart of the Plaka district. AVH is perhaps a ten min walk to the Acropolis Museum in a much quieter neighbourhoood, but as a result it offers far better value for money. Don't miss the rooftop views... More

I returned to this hotel, after having stayed there in 2008, as well. The hotel's exterior is unimpressive, as is the street it's on - but the lobby, dining area are nice. The rooms are spartan, but clean. The charm of this hotel is it's proximity to the Acropolis (a block away!!) and the fantastic rooftop deck, which looks onto... More

The hotel is very conveniently placed, about 3 minutes walk from the base of the Acropolis site, and maybe 10 minutes walk to the Plaka and 15 mins to Syntagma Square. After travelling all day we decided to get a taxi which cost 40 euro (standard price from airport to central Athens), but there is bus X95 which will take... More

Convenient location to the main tourist attractions for the new acropolis museum and the acropolis. Close to the metro about a 10 minute walk to easily get to and from the airport and other areas of the city either by metro or foot. Very simple rooms but, clean. Good breakfast to start your day.

Perfect location for a short visit. Extremely professional staff, gorgeous views over to Acropolis. Rooms are tiny, but spotless. Breakfast is ok, AC was a bit complicated for us. Anyway we managed very well despite of 40 degrees.. Area of Koukaki is peaceful.

Reaching the hotel was painless; the sat-nav took us straight from the airport to the hotel which was astoundingly close to the Acropolis. As they say, they have a rooftop terrace where you can sit, have a drink and gaze at the Parthenon - except when we were there in early May it proved a little too chilly and windy... More

We were pleasantly surprised when we stayed here. For the price we expected a lot less. The room was nice everything you need with an amazing view. The staff were particularly amazing, so helpful and really went out of their way to help. I even left my book in the room and they sent it to my next hotel free... More

As previously stated by other reviewers, this hotel has a great location which is very close to the Acropolis. The roof top bar provides great views of the surrounding area and is ideal as a night time viewing area. Breakfast was varied and good. A second seating area and bar is located in the lobby. Several good restaurant close by.... More

If staying in Athens for a couple of days, this is a good hotel due to good value and wonderful location. You are in the heart of Athens and centrally located to branch out to other areas. Literally, 5 minutes from the Acropolis. This is a basic, simple hotel and the staff is wonderful and receptive. Please do not expect... More

The biggest sell for the hotel is its proximity to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and the Plaka. The view of the Acropolis from the hotel's terrace is also quite nice, especially during sunset. There is a simple but nice spread for breakfast. I also have to commend the hotel staff for being so helpful and honest. I left an expensive... More
