Easy to book on the internet, reservation done without payment. The place is close to the port (I had to get ferry very early in the morning), very clean, air-con, VERY CONVENIENT, perfect to stay a few days, feedback is absolutely positive more

To start with, there was a very easy and quick way to book through the hotel's website. I received a confrmation e-mail the next minute, along with directions on how to find the place. The moment I arrived I got lost in Piraeus due to the Xmas' pandaimonium of shopping, but I called the hotel to ask for directions and... more

Well, I've traveled around Europe a lot with my job for 6 years and normally stay in 3* hotels. Not sure I fully agree with other travelers comments about this hotel. Athens is OK in parts but I've always struggled in Piraeus, it is a rough part of town and not good as a base! Anyhow the Argo (joined to... more

Argo hotel is a nice hotel to stay for one night. We stayed there when we come from Mykonos, because the next morning we were going to catch the plain. The room had a 'strange' decoration! All pink! :) The nicest thing was the balcony... Very big with an open view. We stayed there just for one night, so, didn't... more

The room was air conditioned as advertised, although you had to call the front desk, and get them to turn it on remotely. we had 2 problems--- 1st problem--we requested and... more

exactly you get what you pay, practically nothing, rooms are cramped, i'm a reasonably big build & a shower was a major problem, water just every where including out into the room, all the tiles were cracked on the wall & we had a lovely view of a block wall & steel mesh about 10 inches away from our window... more

Hotel Argo is the reason I will never return to Athens. My experience there was so abhorrent and distasteful that I doubt I will be able to step foot in the city again. First, the pictures featured on the website are very misleading. In regards to location, as of April 2006 the hotel is located down a back alley next... more

As a Greek let me say that the owners of this place give my entire culture a bad name. I took four friends to the Argo while on our way to Crete and the owner was insulting to EVERY one of us but mostly to my fiancee. The cause seems trivial but definitely highlights the degree to which the owner... more
