This is a budget hotel. Small rooms, air doesnt work always, hard bed. bathrooms are not bad though. So if you want cheap this is it. The location is on a good street. Coffee shops next door, down the street from Plaka and metro station. If you are looking for cheap in a good spot, this is it. They had... more

Many things about the rooms are typical... small, dimly lighted, no amenities, but I expected it to be cleaner. The drawers in the dressing table and closet were not clean therefore leaving no place to unpack. The location was very accommodating walking distance to everything. But there was no service and the front desk guy (owners son) was curt and... more

As others have said, this hotel represents excellent value for money. It is very inexpensive, and is in a perfect location for the sights. The rooms themselves are quite ordinary, and not up to the standard of many other hotels we stayed in, but they were clean and adequate. The breakfast room was very nice, but the selection wasn't great.... more

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Cecil for 2 nights after island hoping around greece. The hotel is lovely with a beautiful old fashioned lift. The staff are friendly and the rooms are very clean and modern with aircon! The hotel is in a great location from Monastiraki station, the stop just before Omonia (where lots of locals advised... more

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It´s an old style building. There was a strong smell of cigarrete in the whole hotel. The place is close to Monastiriki, but the neighbourhood is bad. I had to park my car in the street because the parking lots were close, and somebody tried to rob it. I had to pay for... more

We spent one night in this very basic hotel. A double and triple room accommodated my husband and I and our 3 teenagers. The rooms were clean and tidy with the very basic of furniture. Bed was comfortable and sheets were very, very soft. Downside is everything smelled like cigarette smoke. Single elevator takes you up with your baggage. Hotel... more

We stayed in a family room with two adjoining rooms. Value was good for the location. Close to Monasteraki, the Ancient Agora, Plaka, and from the dining room balcony you can see the Acropolis. Softess pillows, bed, and showers that we found during our time in Greece (you will know what I mean when you get there). The staff was... more

My husband and I spent the last two nights of our Greek vacation here. While the location is good for seeing all the sights in Athens and the value good, we weren't impressed with the staff. The breakfast staff seemed very unhappy to be there and the front desk attendants weren't very helpful. Also, we asked for wake-up calls, which... more

Was there over Easter weekends. The room is small but comfortable and clean. The staff are all very friendly. Speaks excellent English and one of them even speaks French too ! The location is stupendously excellent. Walking distance to a Metro Station. Wifi Internet is free ! Will definitely stay there again !! more
