Like a prevoius review I found the Hotel very good. However the extras can add up significantly. Firstly about the Hotel. The Hotel has a very impressive entrance and lobby that displays opulence. The staff are very courteous and efficient. The room was spacious well furnished and a view of the Acropolis The minibar was extremely well stocked. However here... More

I was happy to find that the hotel had rather spacious rooms. I had a small sitting area and enough space to move confortably around my room. I was pleasantly surpirsed to find a lovely little (i cant recall the exact size of the bottle bit i'd say your typical smnall bottle found in any grocery store)bottle of olive oil.... More

I've stayed here a few times and the location is great as well as the view! The hotel itself is lovely and the staff courteous. Unfortunately, it's expensive and it is all the add-on's that make it ridiculous. I had trouble with the internet access (their fault not mine) and called the front-desk. They transferred me to the business center... More

I have been in several intercontiental Hotels, most of my experiences there has been good. Intercontiental Athens has a beautiful lobby, a really 5 stars lobby! but just that! The rooms are big but very old and tired. Breakfast is good. Lobby personal is friendly. Zero amenities, this is not a hotel to enjoy, it is a bed to sleep.... More

I was a little worried reading some of the negative reviews on Trip Advisor about this hotel, but was more than pleasantly surprised by our experience there. I should note we got this room for a very low price on Priceline and then added a $50 upgrade package when we got to the hotel, and perhaps I would have felt... More

Let me start by saying the lobby is beautiful. It pretty much went downhill from there. The room was adaquate but atypical of an Intercontinental in that the room furnishings were older, worn and not in keeping of a hotel with this star rating. Also, the service I've come to know and love was well below the level I expected.The... More

First, let me say that we booked with Hotwire and were treated like second-class citizens from the start by the front desk personnel which has never happened to me before and I use Hotwire a lot. They will be hearing from me. We arrived at our hotel around 8pm a day later than anticipated. I told Niki at the front... More

Smoking is an issue, but then it's Greece. Surroundings are awful, and the noise from the street a big problem. You either have this noise, or A/C noise. Pick your poison. Food is the same every day which is OK for a short stay but gets annoying after day 3 More

Due to the riots downtown, we were moved from the hotel be booked (The Grande Bretagne) to the InterContinental. The move was a bummer. BUT, the hotel was fine despite the smell from smokers. The room was clean and decent size. My parents had to be moved once b/c they felt their room smelt like a smoking room. The first... More
