We stayed at the Stanley for 5 nights, Its like going back to the 70's the reception area needs a complete make over ,The first room we stayed in 318 which was very clean , but you could not get the free WiFi also the room very dated small bathroom ,and also had a stale smoke smell,,then we moved to... While the rooms are a little dated in this hotel, this is more than compensated by the rooftop pool / bar and the friendliness of the staff and overall, it offers very good value for money. We asked for a late check-out (which at best is usually 2pm) but the reception desk gave us until 4pm and I'm sure if... More

The Stanley is like a grand dame.... The view from the 9th floor balcony is quite spectacular and the staff/service are efficient especially the excellent front desk staff..... It is a bit dated and you can prob stay for cheaper nearby .... But all in all its a good base for seeing Athens!

Our first visit to Athens & found ourselves at The Stanley Hotel. Good clean rooms, breakfast is excellent. Front desk staff very helpful & knowledgable. Close to the Metro with easy access to the city centre. The roof top view of the Acropolis is very special at night.

My goal was getting a nice, central hotel, if possible with breakfast, with free wifi and great value for money. That's exactly what I got. The rooftop bar is great to enjoy a drink with amazing views of Athens, mainly at night where you can stare at the Acropolis. The breakfast selection is varied and good. There's a subway station... Good people & ready to attend They are able to help even in the middle of a lot of tourist regarding for their room key in special place. Location is good, not near to center and no crowded streets, Metro station in the same block. Goos breakfats buffet and affordable if it's not included (6/7 Euro) Your balcony could give... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Stanley Hotel for three nights and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The food was great at the rooftop restaurant, which had a SPECTACULAR view of the Acropolis. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The morning breakfast was included in the cost of our hotel room and was delicious as well, with... More

We stayed at the Stanley due to its proximity to local family. We were only there for 1 night so we specifically looked for value rather than 5 star. We we're pleasantly surprised with the room and facilities, although a little dated, it was clean and spacious and had a great air condition. Pool deck was huge with a great... More

The Stanley Hotel is a fairly average hotel and could very definitely do with a makeover. The rooms we stayed in smelt of smoke and the air conditioning was temperamental. However, the staff were very helpful and very friendly. Also, they spoke very good English which was great. But the best part about the Stanley is the view. On the... More

We stayed here for a few days before joining a ship from Piraeus. It was good value, clean and the staff were very friendly. However, the roof top terrace is in need of some care and the swimming pool could do with some up-grading. The air conditioning was welcome, but a little temperamental which sometimes resulted in being frozen during... More
