Great rooms that are clean, modern, and quiet. The hotel staff were courteous, professional, and highly efficient. I can only attest to the buffet style breakfast being good, as we only ate breakfast at the hotel. The breath taking view from atop the Amalia is worth its weight in gold, especially at night. (Panathenaic Stadium, Parliament Building, Mt. Lycabettus, and... More

Don't hesitate to book this spotless, well run hotel in a great spot close to all transportation and the major tourist attractions...all easy walking distance. I'm quite fussy about breakfasts but this free breaky ticked all the boxes....huge variety, freshly cooked. Staff are all excellent and helpful, beds super comfortable.

My family of 7, including my parents and 3 daughters ages 18, 16 & 13, just returned from an 8 day trip to Greece through Gate 1 Travel. Our first 2 nights were at the Amalia Hotel. The hotel was perfectly situated in the center of all the major sites; across from the Parliament building, near Zeus' Temple, and a... More

This hotel was booked for business purposes solely on its location and I had very few expectations on arrival. Of course the location is great being within easy walking distance (really just strolling distance) of all the Athens attractions including the Plaka district, the Acropolis, shopping in Ermou Street and all the businesses located around Syntagma Square. But everything else... More

Amalia hotel is very well located to view all the sites and sounds of Athens. You could walk to most sites very easily and the Platka, which is the Athens shopping and dining district is very near by. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast that was included in the room rate was extremely well done and professionally presented... More

This hotel was really in a great location. It is very close to public transportation, making it perfect for traveling here and back from the airport. The people were helpful, and the food was very good. The city was surprisingly filled with graffiti and a bit trashy, but they keep this hotel very clean and neat. It was quiet except... More

This is a solid decent 4 star hotel that is centrally located. Literally just next to Syntagma Square and ideally situated for visiting all that Athens has to offer. Transfer from the airport by metro gets you there swiftly and to be honest that is the hotel's key asset, it is no more than 15 minutes by walk or metro... More

Located across from the National Gardens and Parliament building. The Plakos and Acropolis are about 10 minute walk from the hotel. There’s also a couple of tourist trains that circulate around the Acropolis neighborhood. Rooftop deck offers a great view, particularly at night. However, sometimes they use the roof at night for private events which may make it inaccessible. There... More

I stayed at the Hotel Amalia for one night on my way to Crete, and it was a great hotel at a good price. I requested an early check in, and my room was ready when I arrived, which was very helpful. The breakfast was complimentary and very good, and the staff was quite accommodating. It's located right in Syntagma... More
