The Amalia Hotel is a nice hotel. It has a good location to see Athens on foot. There is public transportation within minutes of the hotel. It is within walking distance of the Acropolis, the Plaka, changing if the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier, the park, Temple of Olympian Zeus, and Syntagma Square. Good facilities and fairly... More

My friend and I stayed here on two separate occasions for one night each time. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the Parthenon area and pretty central in terms of major transportation (subway and bus). Because the subway and bus stop are very close to the hotel, the hotel was very easy to get to from the airport... More

The Amalia is perfectly positioned in the centre of Athens at Syntagma Square. We were very pleased with the location as have previously stayed in the Plaka area, but this was much better. Arrived after a long flight to be told that the hotel didn't have our booking and was full that night. The receptionist efficiently invited us to have... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe double - 5 th floor, front room. The hotel is centrally located near Syntagma Square, the Plaka district with all it's wonderful tavernas, and of course the Acropolis and various other historical sites. For us the hotel was as good as you would want or expect a four star hotel to be.... More

1. The Wifi in my room continually went out. I was told there were no other complaints, but I have not been able to get work done that I need to do. 2. There is no on-site restaurant for lunch, and only a modest one in the lobby for a light dinner. Be aware that it shuts early. 3. If... More

By far the best value hotel we stayed in on our trip to Greece. The rooms were comfortable, up to date and a standard hotel room size. Bathrooms modern and buffet breakfast exceptional. The location is great for accessing key tourist sites - within short walking distance to Acropolis and Placa as well as public transport to airport. Definitely would... More

This a very good base in the Amazing city of Athens , the location is 100 m from Syntagma sq , which makes it perfect ! The x95 bus from the air port has a station 50m from the hotel so no need to get an airport taxi , it is within walking distance from the Plaka , the Ermou... More

Great location. Just beside the Syntagma Square where the airport express bus, X95, stops. Hence, access to the airport is superb. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Acropolis and the Greek Parliament, which is really ideal. Breakfast spread is decent. My double bed wasn't a real double bed, but simple two singles joined together. The only complaint... More

The Amalia Hotel locates nearby the tourism zone, Plaka 5-10 min by walk, The Acropolis 15-20 min; 15 min (maximum) taxi to the ferry port. It's a very convenience place. No electronic kettle provided though, I asked the room service for hot water and then they brought me boiled water in a pretty silver jar. The room service staff is... More

Nice hotel in a very central location, perfect for getting around to all the sights of the city & close to the bus stop. Great view of the park from our room on the top floor. Breakfast was good & staff were friendly & helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Athens.
