Stayed in the Amalia hotel as part of a weekend away to Athens with my boyfriend. No major complaints about the hotel really - reception staff were nice, room was clean and fairly spacious (we had a standard room) and location excellent. All the sites really are in walking distance and that was the main thing for us. Minor complaints... More

As travellers to Greece at several times we have always choosen Amalia Hotel and we have many reasons for that. Near to everything in the center of the city. The excellent service from a staaf always helpful. A room with view over the Parlament and Lycavittos is o bonus. Coming in June! Anders Öster SWEDEN

our room was spacious with a magnificent balcony looking on the parliament, the bed very comfortable, breakfast in line with what you expect from a hotel of this category, staff kind and welcoming, the hotel is ideally located 50mt from square Syntagma with connections to the airport (metro and bus x95 "syntagma express") and just in front of the stop... Over the years I was able to experience several hotels in Athens of different standards. By all means Hotel Amalia is my favorite. Right next to Syntagma square with the whole city in walking distance. Subway and Airport Express Bus (X95) around the corner. Accessible roof top with a spectacular view. Great breakfast. Nice staff. Fair rates. Go there and... More

Stayed at the Amalia several times and it gets better all the time. The convenience of being next to Syntagma metro is great, so is the bus connection when the metro does not run. The tram for the beaches is on the doorstep. All this was really useful because I pulled a leg muscle and had a problem getting around.... More

I found this a really wonderful hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful both at reception and in the breakfast area. It is very close to the Metro and opposite is the most wonderful park. The breakfast was great! The room was clean and was cleaned daily. The only thing that I did not like was that the room... This hotel is a worthy 5-star where it counts: Cleanliness and Service. It may not boast the huge conference spaces and lavish pool/s associated with top-tier hotels, but for a traveller whose priorities are a quiet, clean, comfortable room and a waiter knocking on your door within minutes of having telephoned your order, it’s a revelation. Especially for the price.... More

Friendly staff, good installations and delicius breakfast. In the city center, near Syntagma square, you can walk to all the most important touristic places in a few minutes. The only problem detected is the ac system that works in winter only with heat and the room was too hot. You only can open the window and wait for fresh air... More

This hotel has extremely nice location, next to metro station, close to Acropolis. Very good choice of food for breakfast: I really enjoyed a lot of types of coffee, not only filter coffee as usual in hotels.Rooms are clean and nice, staff very open and helpful. I can recommend it,
