This is the most traditional hotel we stayed at during our trip, but it was a welcomed experience. Very safe neighborhood near Plaka and only a few short blocks from all the action. We could easily walk to Psirri and other more active districts at night, but were happy to be able to come back to a more calm, police... More

My husband I stayed at the Acropolis Select for a week in early May. He was in meetings most of the day, while I spent my days wandering Athens. The hotel receptionist was a wonderful sounding board for places to go and how to get there. She called Vougliameni Lake to double-check hours for me, wrote down bus stops so... More

The location of the hotel is its star point. Very convenient to reach from the airport by metro. Waking distance from the 2 main metro stations - Acropolis & Syngrou-Fix. The Acropolis museum, the Pantheon is hardly any distance away. Great area overall - lots of wonderful restaurants and smaller eating joints, souvenir shops. The neighborhood is safe even late... The rooms were moderate to small in size with a decent size bathroom & TV. Clean & no complaints. The staff was nice & helpful. The location is a few blocks from the Acropolis Museum and alittle farther from Monistriki Square, but definitely walkable. I was alone at this location & never felt unsafe. I walked everywhere & use there... More

Staff very friendly. Acropolis literally up the road. Couldnt have asked for more. Safe neighbourhood, walking distance to many great restaurants. The room had a large balcony area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The room was comfortable, nice bathroom, big bed and fridge. Would return to this hotel again.

Stayed here for 4 nights in February 14. Its in a great position to use as a base for visiting the tourist sites however it let's itself down badly with the breakfast. If you are out all day a decent breakfast sets you up for the day. Sadly you won't get that here. By 9am what is left is stone... More

Hotel is very good, excellent access to major tourist attractions, Acropolis, Plaka (old town) are very close. The hotel is in a quiet and peaceful area. Metro and bus stations are within 50 meters. Staff are very friendly, the rooms large and clean with a balcony, but with a very, very bad light. Breakfast is good. Most of recommendation for... More

Not pretty, but very good access to the main tourist attractions in Athens. Rooms are ordinary but very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was extensive but low quality - like most Greek places, the juice was actually cordial, only here you could feel the grit of the poorly mixed powder in your cup; halfway through the allotted time most... We arrived for a late check-in, and were promptly taken care of. The reception was wonderful and was a tremendous help when I had to rush off to the hospital in the early morning hours. The room was very nice with a large bathroom. The location was a big plus, as it is close to the Acropolis. All the staff... More

As others have stated, the staff are first class and the location is very good. The breakfast is quite adequate. However, we had two problems. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, which looks down on a major city road that keeps going all night. We had a terrible nights sleep, and were moved to a room at... More
