We had a wonderful stay in The Golden Age of Athens hotel. It is in a very good location within a few minutes walk to the metro and just two stops to the main square. The room was very comfortable and clean. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are very courteous and helpful! I would definitely... More

Stayed in July 2015. The Golden Age Hotel is a decent small hotel, 3 minute to metro station (Mégaron Mousikis), convenient location from major tourist sights, friendly staff Pros - Convenient to Metro station (Mégaron Mousikis), 3 minutes walk through an well lighted alley, the hotel itself is located in the “upmarket” area of Athens (Leof. Vasilissis Sofias, “Embassy Row”)... More

5 minute walk to subway, street quiet at night, very nice breakfast with lots of choices. Room was a little old, but were clean and spacious. Very good value if you don't need to be in the centre, which was only about a km away.

We recently stayed at the Golden Age Hotel and had a wonderful experience. Very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The only downside is that you have to flag down the wait staff to get coffee, which we're not used to doing. We were there during the recent Parliamentary vote on austerity measures. The hotel staff made sure guests didn't... More

Although this hotel does not stand out in terms of its decor, and luxury amenities, it has all that one needs. The location is great, close to metro stop, close to laundry and markets, close to non-touristy neighborhood restaurants and cafes. The hotel rooms are very decent and the free breakfast is great (lots of selection).

Golden Age Hotel was a wonderful stay in central Athens! The breakfast was very very good with many options! Got us through long sightseeing days. They also did a great boxed breakfast option for us (no additional cost which was super) on a tour day that we left early in the morning. The staff were helpful and the rooms were... More

We stayed at this hotel to start our trip to Greece and Turkey. It was a great start! The beds were comfortable, the wifi was fast, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect. The hotel is a quick walk to the Metro station. Beware of pickpockets on the metro, especially when crowded. There are many restaurants within walking... More

We stayed at the Golden Age for 4 nights after flying in from Manchester in the UK. The hotel was easy to find and only a 5 minute walk from the Megaro Metro station on the line from the airport, (or a stop on the X95 bus from the airport to the City Centre). Whilst it is advertised as a... More

This is not a four star hotel, closer to three. It's comfortable enough and the staff are helpful, breakfast is good, but the rooms are very dated and our balcony looked out at the back of other buildings. The TV service is useless unless you're Greek, the only English language channels are Nickelodeon and CNN which are so glitchy you'll... More

The hotel is beautiful and not so far from the Acropolis. About a 5 euro taxi ride or 5 minutes in the metro. The concierge is 24 hours and the staff was very helpful. There are lots of businesses within walking distance of the hotel, including restaurants and even a laundry where you can catch up on dirty clothes if... More
