We were in Athens two weekends on both ends of a cruise, and stayed in this hotel the second weekend. I had checked earlier, and the rooms here were extremely expensive, but a couple of days before I checked again and the rooms were reasonable, I guess because the hotel was not full, so I booked the rooms. The hotels... more

This hotel is a must consideration for any trip to Athens. Location was exactly right-on for walking to the historic sights, the restaurants and shopping. The rooms were very well appointed and well cleaned. I want to especially highlight the service staff, especially the Concierge, Panos, and the bell staff. They were always helpful, friendly and correct in their advice. more

We reserved a room with the acropolis view and it was amazing. We highly recommend it. The staff and accommodations were superb! We will definitely always stay here. The location is perfect and very centrally located, but very quiet. more

I stayed in this hotel two years, and enjoyed this hotel quite a bit. The common areas, lobby, restaurants, bars, and swimming pools are a surprisingly nice find in the Plaka area of Athens. The rooftop pool has a great view of the Acropolis. It is is easy to walk to everywhere within central Athens from this hotel. My only... more

This hotel was a perfect end to our 2 week trip in the Greek Islands. A terrific location for the historical sites, shopping, restaurants and cafes. Don't miss dinner at the hotel's rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the Acropolis...amazing food and service to match...a dinner we won't forget! more

Beautiful hotel in great location in the Plaka. Lots to walk to - the Acropolis, Roman Agora, National Archological Museum. Definately book a room with a view of the Acropolis. My only complaints were that the pool was freezing, both spas used cold water, and when the jacuzzi tub didn't work, they were completely inept at repairing it and wouldn't... more

We were so pleased we booked the electra palace hotel for three nights as on arrival, very hot and tired, we were informed by reception that we were upgraded to a suite, and what a suite, it was a lovely room with the most amazing view on the 7th floor. The outdoor pool was also very much so needed during... more

The hotel is a walkable distance to the Acropolis and Plaka area. We checked in early and were told the room was not ready (which we expected) and we were told to go have breakfast in their restaurant to wait. It was buffet only and we only wanted coffee and a pastry. The host seemed insulted when we told him... more

We stayed at the Electra Palace at the beginning of a two week trip to Greece for 2 nights and for one final night before flying home. Our room during our first stay was on the 4th floor floor and was clean and comfortable. A smallish hotel by US standards, but very nice. The shower door was a 1/2 door,... more

We were booked in here for 2 nights as part of a tour cruising the Greek Islands back in 1999. This hotel is perfectly located in that you can walk to everything; Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, various temples, the great Plaka district with many restaurants and shops and of course, the Parthenon, which can be seen from the... more
