There were four of us at the hotel in two separate rooms. The rooms were extremely dark, and the beds were the worst I have ever had in all my years of travel -- and in my youth I stayed at extremely low level hotels. My children (ages 19 & 22) who are used to cots at camp (when they... more

We found the staff to be very accomodating. They all spoke English. The breakfast is quite good, and we enjoyed eating out in the garden. The front desk located an English speaking guide to take the two of us on on a walking tour - highly recommended. The rooms are somewhat small, and the bed not so comfortable, but everything... more

Just wanted to let others know that the hotel fulfills the location promises it posts in its description. The only issues I had were that their restaurant, which has an amazing view of the Acropolis, gets completely booked thus forcing one to go outside your own hotel to get something to eat. We were dissapointed with that. Also, the pool... more

If you are going to Athens, and want a relaxed, convenient and quality hotel the Electra Palace is perfect. It is conveniently located in the Plaka, yet is a proper business hotel. The Acropolis view rooms are excellent (just make sure you are not on the floor underneath the restaurant or on the corner...ask for a room w/ a balcony... more

My wife and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers. We began our honeymoon at this hotel and thought it was in a great location in the middle of the city, and very close to the Acropolis. Our room was cozy enough for two, and had a wonderful view from the balcony of the Acropolis. The balcony itself... more

The hotel location is fantastic and the pool was really cool - specially to relax after walking all over the Acropolis. The rooms are very small and they will be comparable to the worst room at a hotel in the U.S. The views from our room were really nice. This hotel is definitely NOT a 5 star hotel. more

We booked (and paid for) our stay months in advance, then arrived to be told there were no available rooms and we would be offered a free transfer to another hotel "5 minutes" away. We politely but firmly declined the offer, saying we had paid a premium to stay specifically at the Electra Palace, and asked to speak to the... more

I stayed here 2 nights at the end of a tour, and specifically made the reservations here to be in the Plaka area. It was a little bit more pricey than other hotels I had seen, but I must say, it was worth every penny. My elderly mother and I took a cab here from the Hotel Metropolitan. Upon arrival,... more

We found the Electra Palace Hotel located in the Plaka (Athen's old town) at the foot of the Acropolis ideally situated for exploring on foot. many of the sights of interest to the tourist. Taxis are available in front of the hotel, and two subway stations are near. The Lobby is rather impressive in its classic elegance, and liberal use... more

My husband and I stayed 3 nights. I booked online for 230 Euros a night, however the travel agency wanted 400 euros a night! We had a standard room that was clean, nothing spectacular. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Fresh squeezed orange juice, sausages, potatoes, eggs, fruits, cereals, tea and coffe, breads...it was so delicious. This hotel is located in... more
