We stayed in this hotel from 11-15 January 2015. This was our first trip to Athens (long overdue) and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The location is perfect, room was very comfortable (nice view of Acropolis), breakfast was yummy, price was very fair for a capital city but what made it most memorable was the courtesy... More

Dear Helendavid2015 We are very honoured by your review. Thank you. Elias, Monda and Antonis thank you for mentioning them by name, it is true that our staff is the living experience of what we, at PHILIPPOS, call filoxenia. Edinburgh is known as Athens of the North, so one may say that now you have another home away from home... More

Stayed in the hotel for six nights in December 2014 .. Our first trip to Athens , and we could not have stayed at a better location.. Walkable distance to the major attractions like Acropolis museum, the Acopolis itself, The Plaka and Monastiraki. Good, healthy breakfast with many options.. Nice view of the Acropolis and Parthenon from the room itself... More

We had booked at another hotel but when we arrived their they said they were booked out. We were told to come to the Hotel Philippos which obviously were werent happy to have been shafted by the other hotel (which name I wont mention). Couldnt have been happier. The room was lovely with a clear view to the Acropolis. Lovely... More

We are a family of 4 adults and stayed in a quad room in the month of December. This is a very good priced hotel in a great central location and only 2 minutes walk from Acropoli Station (red line) This is a very clean and neat hotel, the rooms are a bit tight, but still comfortable, the decor is... I booked this hotel via the internet due to location and seeming value for money and both expectations were well met. As others have said, the Philippos is in an excellent location, round the corner from the metro and close to restaurants, the tramway stop to the seaside, tour bus and tourist train stops and a short walk to the... We stayed here for a week over New Year's. Due to flight delays and baggage mix-ups, we dragged in at 4 am, but received a warm welcome. Our room was small, but immaculately clean and well furnished and very quiet. The hotel is a block from the new Acropolis Museum and a short walk from the metro station - very... More

We stayed three nights in this wonderful independent hotel a few blocks from the entrance to the Acropolis. Getting there is easy via the airport metro line with a quick change to the red line to the Acropolis stop. (Do be mindful of pickpockets if you take the metro-- we had a close call with two women who shoved their... More

We have stayed here on a couple of different occasions and couldn't be happier. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect. Around the corner is the Acropolis and the plaka. It is also very close to the metro. We would absolutely stay here again!
