Just back from a 4 night stay. Couldn't ask for a better Hotel for price and location. Rooms perfectly adequate, comfy beds, plenty of hot water, free Wi-Fi, air con and heating for the colder nights. Rooms and hotel both immaculately clean. Breakfast provided everything we needed. Staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Location was perfect. Round the corner from... More

We stayed here for 3 nights - the location is excellent, easy walking distance to all the main sights (2 minutes walk to the new Acropolis Museum) & on a quiet side street, so little traffic noise. The staff couldn't be more helpful with directions & recommendations for restaurants (the restaurants recommended were delightful & not over priced). Our room... More

Really good choice that we decided to stay there for 3 nights. I really like the breakfast. All staff are friendly and can give information to you. Once I asked them how I can get to a near by supermarket and one supermarket is quite close to the hotel. All staff smile to you and glad you whenever they see... More

Booked this hotel as it looked nice and was central. It is a great location, staff friendly and the room was perfect for us. The beds were super comfy 😄. Breakfast had a good choice, but only really needed the gorgeous Greek yoghurt, fruit and honey and then a bit of homemade bread to start the day well. Recommend it.

Dear Piparazzi We are so happy your experience at PHILIPPOS was a great one! We also believe that a tasteful breakfast full of fresh as well as home made goodies adds up to one’s stay; that is the reason why we pay so much attention to our morning buffet. Thank you for recommending us and we hope to welcome you... More

Pros: Great view of the acropolis from our 6th floor room. Good breakfast (great Greek yogurt and pastries). Very central to the Acropolis and the Plaka Cons: Service. We wasted an hour of our first day in Athens waiting for the front desk to figure out our room situation. We had a reservation for four nights at this hotel, but... More

Using Trip Advisor we checked into this hotel for several nights and never once regretted our choice. The hotel has one of the best locations, close to Acropolis and Plaka. A bit hard to find but take the Metro to Akropoli, walk downhill, past the Acropolis museum, turn right and then left at the first cross street and its on... More

I have searched for a room on a last minute basis and found one in this hotel when I went for a weekend for a business trip. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the room was excellent for 1 person and absolutely spotless! very quiet as well considering that it was located in the heart of Athens.Breakfast was... Dear STEMA30 Thank you for posting your review. We appreciate your feedback and we will pass on to the “smiling” front desk team and the “spotless” housekeeping staff your comments; it means a lot to them. We very much appreciate your recommending us and hope you return as well! More

Professionally run hotel and conveniently located 5 min walk from Acropolis & Plaka. Room and bathroom was small. Beds were uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. A/C did not work that well and room was cold. Additional blankets were dusty and clearly not recently laundered. Breakfast was minimal yet OK. Decided to leave after 2 days instead of originally planned... More

I stayed here for one night only before I was moving to the sister hotel, Herodion, on the next street. I emailed ahead as I was landing early into Athens off a long haul flight and was hoping they could check me in early. Absolutely no problems at all, they were able to check me into a room immediately, I... More

We were so impressed by our weekend at the Philippos Hotel, that we will be sure to stay there again next time we visit Athens. The hotel is in a brilliant location, a couple of streets away from the Acropolis Metro station, making it ideal for walking around the historic centre and for public transport to and from the airport...
