We stayed at this great hotel for a few days in July. Service was great. The rooms are basic but there are crispy white sheets on the bed and fluffy towels in the bathroom. The breakfast is awesome and plentiful. Great location..I will definitely stay there again

This is hustling-busling hotel in downtown athens, full of tourists from all over.. The reception staff are attentive and friendly.. Rooms are a bit squashed, almost motel like. Good thing is breakfast starts early at 6:30am, so you dont have to miss your hot breakfast to catch that early morning ferry/tourbus. A good standard hotel that gets the job done,... More

We stayed at the Hotel Titania in Athens for 4 nights in total, 2 at the beginning and 2 at the end of our island-hopping holiday. The room we had on the first two nights, on the 7th floor, had a view out over the front of the hotel, with the Acropolis visible in the distance, which was very nice,... More

Very good location near to the metro station and walking distance from syntagma square, ermou and plaka. Very nice lobby. The downside are the rooms that are very old that need renovation urgently. There is no free wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby.

As many visitors already have pointed out...; the lobby is grand and definitely 4 star, the rooms are not... We asked for a quiet room, away from traffic noise and away from the annoying sound from the lifts. And we got one...facing the back yard, but definitely vey quiet. Also, our room was badly lit so I asked for an... More

Although the hotels public areas were obviously recently renovated, the same thing does not apply to the rooms. The lobby, the reception the breakfast are were in good condition, clean and beautiful. However the room was another story. Everything is old, there are cracks on the walls and the air con was a not working as it should be. In... More

I'm back from Titania Hotel after 5 nights (July, 12th to 17th, 2015). Again, it was the conference I joined in this hotel. The hotel is located near the Syntagma square, well known for the demonstrations in 2015. It is a good position for the city and its landmarks exploration. The lobby is quite spacious with a bar and plenty... More

Perfect location for walking to Parlament, Plaka or any other places. Great service, good rooms, very good food. You can find lot of places for eating nearby and if you want to have a romantic dinner you can go to the roof restaurant and enjoy the magical view of the parthenon

In this dream-like hotel, with a wonderful little garden on top, an average standard room's very cosy, even though it's not that bright. The furniture is simple, but it provides a wide closet. The bathroom is comfortable, except for the tub which is a little bit difficult to handle. A courtesy set and air conditioning are included, as well as a... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
