The hotel is good, very nice breakfast, location was great and the staff was very helpful and polite. But internet barely works on the rooms and from our room (my parents were on one and my girlfriend and I on another) we could hear a strange sound as if someone was moving furnitures during breakfast and when we were going... The hotel room is a little dated but clean. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options but was average. The rooftop has recently been refurbished and looks amazing. The view of the Acropolis are awesome both day and night. Once the hotel refurbishes all rooms this hotel will be great. Great location - close walking distance to most areas of... More

Really central venue. There was a very hospitable welcome, lovely room and a great breakfast. I would recommend staying at the Titania and would be very happy to stay there on a return visit to Athens.

We stayed in this hotel in 2005 and we booked it again. I sent an email prior to our stay to ask for a renovated room! We had 6 people traveling and 3 rooms. We did not get a renovated room-rooms were dated and smelt musty. Bathrooms were terrible-small and things falling apart. Breakfast area was ok but chairs were... More

Stayed 6 nights and paid about $60 a night. Location not bad, just a short walk to a metro station (Omonia). Desk staff all spoke English and did their best to answer any questions posed to them. The breakfast buffet was impressive. Continental started around 4 a.m an American (hot) 6:30 or before. A selection of breads and jellies/marmalade, fresh... More

The hotel has good location, nice staff, very good restaurants, but the rooms are not in the best condition, the walls and the bathroom are a bit worn down. There a lot of noisy studnts' group that can disturb adults. Good conference facilities. No free wifi in the rooms. The roof top restaurant has fantastic atmosphere.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. After reading some of the reviews I was apprehensive but booked it as it was a last minute option. We booked the superior room, and were so happy the first time that we booked it again for our transit out of Greece. Both rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was... Loverly hotel, rooms are good sized with large beds. Our room had a good view over the city. The breakfast is a good point with plenty of range. The staff our friendly and helpful. Only down side was there was an unusual drain like spell in the lobby on the last two day of our stay. The location is fantastic... More

The concierge was super unhelpful and had an attitude when we went there. Extremely not pleased with their lack of service. We lost our luggage the first night we arrived at Greece and we needed help from the concierge but they seemed annoyed and unwilling to help and very un active. Also the workers are always just lounging around and... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
