3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Great lobby, nicely situated restaurant on the roof, friendly and efficient staff, fairly good food - but the rooms are smallish and simple, as well as somewhat dated in their finishings. Good conference facilities. Dead centre of Athens. Most hotels in Athens are dated due to the economy, and this is probably one of the best available (I have stayed... More

Centrally located, staff very helpful, we were 3 sharing the room so we were given a family room which was really nice and comfortable. The wifi was only accessible in the lobby which was a bit of a pain.#The breakfast needs improvement

A large and busy hotel that is located in the Omonia Square district of Athens. The hotel is close to the subway and good restaurants. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Be prepared to pay plenty for the WiFi but a slower service is available in the lobby for free

We stayed here for a conference and were told it was a 4 star luxury hotel which is totally not the case. The lobby is very nice, made with expensive marble, but once getting to the room floors it becomes a very different and depressing story with worn, faded carpets on the floors. The rooms are basic, dated and drab with worn... More

This is not a 4 star hotel!, Only aspect 4 star is the lobby, once you get to the floors of the rooms, it’s terrible. The carpet in the corridors are dirty, deco is old. Was surprised at this because I read the reviews before booking and it that stated it was newly renovated. The rooms are more like 2... More

I would not consider this a luxury hotel. I was there for a conference, but would have booked somewhere else for a vacation based on the reviews here and rightfully so. The rooms were cleaned daily but there was still black mold around the edge of the tub. Based on other suggestions, we requested a room away from the elevators... More

What I like about this hotel is about the location, in Athens, when the night fall, it is not safe to walk around like you used to do 10 years ago. but with the location, you can walk from the hotel to take a night photo shoot at the House of Parliament, Temple of Zeus, the Old Town Praka with... Attending a conference, I would not book this hotel for a holiday the breakfast was poor with limited choice and the hot food was barely Luke warm. The hotel room, whilst clean, had no functioning fan in the bathroom, the fridge was ineffective and the bathroom sink was blocked. The room had no tea and coffee facilities and the water... More

For the price, or a few more euros a night you can come across town to the beautiful Divani and actually enjoy your vacation. Horrible customer service. The lobby is deceiving to say the least. The best thing about it, rooftop restaurant is closed. You can hear everything from room to room. Location is alright, but again, much better hotels... More

Our group stayed at the Titania Hotel for one night before departing on a cruise. My room was a single and I truly felt I was camping out. Dingy room with a very flat mattress on top of a platform bed. Did not have a duvet but a sheet with a thin top layer. In the closet was the dirty... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
