The hotel is located in a very central location, very close to metro station and local attractions, only 10 minutes on foot, so everything was walking distance. The area can be not so beautiful, but despite the fact that I am a girl I felt very safe since there was police station under the hotel all the day, so I... More

the soho hotel is not a bad deal if your budget is low (and if you're not a solo woman!) pros: - fair pricing - room is ok: big enough, small LCD TV (mostly greek channels + BBC news), AC. - nice staff. gave me an upgrade from single room to a twin room. - free tea & coffee 24h... More

Having read all the positive comments on the Soho-Hotel on TripAdvisor, we booked 4 nights in advance via the Soho-hotels' website. The location of the hotel is quite central, although the part of the city is a real nasty one. We saw lots of prostitutes and dealers in the quarter, but we were never molested by any of them. Right... More

Hey guys, this is a backpacker hotel. So, dont expect more. I stayed there for 3 nights and like what some of the reviews said, it is a 'Indiana Jones' type of adventure walking back to hotel every evening. Illegals are rounded up every evening in front of hotel. Can't say for sure that the area is safe but every... More

We usually prefer AirBNB but were getting in very late and the Soho is hard to beat for 25 euro a night. We walked from Syntagma square through Omonia (along major streets) at midnight when we arrived and thought it looked like some kind of 3rd world country with smashed windows, abandoned businesses, graffiti on every wall, men hanging out... The hotel should be called hostel, but has nice rooms (just dislike the rug) free WiFi, cheap and great breakfast, very kind staff. The area is the huge problem, during the nigh you should go to the hotel trought Peiraios St. not trough narrows streets, even with that you are exposed to quite a lot of junkies... and like in... The hotel should only be used as a stopping off point and not necessarily as a base from which to see Athens. It is clean, (which was a huge plus), and the bathroom as good, (which was an even bigger plus) but the location was poor. Most places outside of Plaka and Ministraki are not very safe or clean as... My friend and I stayed there for a week in April 2012. We booked through two different online agencies, so this review may be repeated if you check different sites. We arrived at 4am. Reception was manned by a charming man called Aleko, free tea and coffee was available, and booking in was efficiently and courteously handled. We were given... More

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel.  It's easy to get most of places to see in Athens on foot. It's very convenient. The rooms and common area were clean and comfortable.  And all of staff were very kind and helpful.  You can have a free coffee and tea, also use free wifi in your rooms.
