Do not believe the reviews that say Athens is dangerous; just be wary and street smart. The area of the hotel and city are somewhat rundown and grungy, but I felt safer than I do in NYC and I am a native. Hotel staff was helpful in recommending restaurants and general information. Fresh sheets, soap and towels every day! Breakfast... more

This place is located in Omonia area and about a 5-10 minute walk from the Omonia Metro station. It was a little bit difficult to find at first because the map right outside the Metro station wasn't very informative. Similar to other reviews, I would also just recommend this place for one or 2 nights. It does its job for... more

These are pictures of rather nice people that helped our brazilian group during our staying from September 24 - 27th 2009. Our best wishes to good success for them and for the others that we couldn' t take photos as well as Kostas and others. Thank you very much, folks!!!! I hope one day you can be able to visit... more

This hotel was a great value-it was very clean and new, had a great breakfast and was within walking distance of the Plaka, Central Market, the Acropolis, the Temple of Zeus, the Olympic stadium, museums, and much more. Costas was very helpful to us during our stay and was really friendly too. I had read things about pickpockets and prostitutes... more

First, I was a little put off by alot of the recent "reviews" knocking the hotel staff (i.e. rude, unhelpful, etc) So needless to say, I was hoping for the best, and expecting the worst. During our 3 night stay, I personally spoke with 4 different gentlemen working the front desk and EVERYONE was helpful and polite. (especially, the "late... more

You get what you pay for and when the BW Pythogorium was one of the best deals we could find for a recent two night stay, we weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting clean rooms and pleasant staff in an average hotel. What we got was nightmare staff and a dumpy room. The front desk was staffed by simply... more

We just wanted a base for our stay in Athens that wasn't too expensive and quite accessible to the tourist area's - and it was exactly that. It was clean, decent breakfast, 24hr reception which were useful and walking distance to everywhere. I wouldnt stay here if you wanted to spend lots of time in the hotel, but if you... more

We wanted a good budget hotel, and thought by going with a known chain such as Best Western that we would be ok. The hotel is in a very bad neighborhood. There were policeman with automatic weapons at every corner along the way! Scary! I would not walk anywhere by myself, only with my husband, and wouldn't let my teenage... more
