Had a good stay here. Room was baking hot, but the air con worked reasonably well. The bathroom was tiny. Not unusual for Greek hotels though. Balcony had a great view too. SOME of the reception staff were really friendly. Breakfast was a bit average, but still very popular. Always makes me laugh watching some stingy guests making sandwiches for... more

Good hotel with nice clean rooms. Only downside for us was the position, it was a little too out of the way and we didnt really feel safe walking back at night. Breakfast was good and staff helpful. Great place if you are wanting to spend a lot of time at the museum. more

The Museum Hotel was about a 20min, easy walk into the Plaka area. At first it does seem that the area is quite dodgy but Athens is pretty much covered in grafitti, which, if you're not used to it like were weren't, gives an image of having a high crime rate. When we first got to the hotel all the... more

Quite lousy location. We had a junior suite and was expecting a bit higher room standard but what we got was anything but suite. At the same time, for €99/night, suites perhaps look like this one. Hotel was neat and clean. Breakfast was quite off the mark. It wouldn’t be wrong if I say that their breakfast was the lousiest... more

Hi, I was on Museum Hotel in July 15-16 2008 with my friends. We booked three rooms early in March, directly by email to the hotel reception. We paid 90euros per room per night. We asked for quiet rooms on the backside of the hotel, being worried about the noise of the streets, and they gave us as requested 3 rooms... more

We, parents and two children stayed at this hotel for a night before heading home in June. A person in the front desk was nice and he upgraded our room. Our room was a junior suite that had 4 beds and had a divider between two rooms. They had 2 TVs. A bathroom was big and clean. We arrived at... more

If part of your trip to Athens involves a visit to the Archeological Museum, then this hotel is about as close as you're going to find to it! The room we stayed in was quite nice, there are a couple of free Internet terminals available, and the included breakfast is better than average. The Omonia Square metro station is a... more

After reading a lot of negative stories about hotels in Athens we were surprised at this hotel. Although not right in the centre it was within easy walking distance to a metro station. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was quite nice. There were also several restaurants to choose form for dinner. more

Although this hotel is in a working neighborhood, it is safe to walk around to shops and restaurants and feels like real Athens. One goes just around the block to go to the Archelogical museum, and catch the bus to other parts of the city. It is a small hotel of very high quality. The rooms are very clean and... more

We stayed 5 days at the Best Western Museum in Athens and it was great but the location is weird to say the least. Avoid the park between the Museum and the Polytechnic Institute. We are not used to walking through shooting galleries!!! We saw junkies passed out with needles in their arms and needles laying all over the place.... more
