Absolutely fabulous location. Right in the heart of Athens. Open your balcony & see the Acropolis unhindered. This hotel is at Monstiraki Square where there are free public performances by street musicians, dancers, etc. Throbbing place. Athens Flea Market is next door. And the ultimate plus point - it is literally 10 steps away from Monstiraki Metro Station. It is... More

Stayed at the A for Athens in March 2014 for 5 nights. Booked an Acropolis View room & what a view! As the room (2nd floor) looked out on to Monastiraki Square it can be a bit noisy on a weekend but the view made up for it. The rooms are modern & clean with towels changed daily. Breakfasts (lots... My review just echoes the others. The location is absolutely superb with a staggering view of the acropolis which the photos don't exaggerate. The reception staff could not have been more friendly or helpful but the bar staff upstairs might have been a little more accommodating towards hotel guests. the breakfast was reasonable enough with particularly nice fresh orange juice.The... A for Athens is a good little "boutique" hotel right in the heart of the Psiri, Plaka, Monastraki area of Athens. Our room had a good view of the Acropolis but was located on the first floor facing the busy square which meant it was very noisy. The room was simple/minimal but roomy. The bed wasn't particularly special. We also... More

I visited A for Athens in January only for one night as I wanted to wake up really early to catch the metro to Pireaus port the next morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very stylish and clean and the bar on the top amazing! But unfortunately I had a big problem. My room was... More

A for Athens is perfectly situated for exploring all the sites. My wife and I spent 3 nights in one of the regular rooms, and one night in an "Acropolis view" room. The "Acropolis view" room really was quite spectacular, particularly at night. You can even look out over the Acropolis while taking a shower, thanks to strategically placed windows.... More

Going back to this hotel after some time just reaffirmed to us how pleasant, handy, comfortable and good value for money it is. The management having placed another two elevators and separating the access to the extremely busy and naturally noisy roof garden bar and the rooms has been excellent and really needed. The rooms as usual were clean and... More

The hotel is great, the location Is ideal! Really great rooms and decoration, same goes to the roof garden! But the receptionist was completely rude when I asked for some info... That was the only problem but I'd go there again!

We reached A For Athens late in the evening. Vengelis greeted us at the reception and to our delightful surprise they had upgraded us to an ‘Acropolis View room’ on the second floor. When we entered the room we were just speechless to see the mighty acropolis from the large windows of our very spacious hotel room. We had done... More
