I didn't sleep there, i just had a drink watching a breathtaking view. The bar is on the roof of the hotel upon Monastiraki square, in front of you there is the Acropolis. The cocktail was cheaper then in Italy.

A for Athens is easily accessible from the airport. I had conducted my research and followed instructions from previous visitors. (1) Airport Entrance - left to escalator and proceed across pedestrian bridge. (2) Ticket Booth - 8 Euros to Monasteraki Square . (3) Waiting Area - Right Side (Metro). (4) Each Station is Announced over PA. (5) BEAWARE - When... More

We spent 5 nights at the A for Athens and were so pleased to have booked here. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Vaios gave us invaluable information about buying tickets to the various monuments when we arrived and was more than happy to help with any query. A breath of fresh air compared to hotels... More

The hotel overlooks the very noisy, dirty, graffiti-covered Monasteraki Square. A lot of people , some a bit strange , congregate on the square and, in the evening, and often strike up very loud bongo music, which can go on until well after midnight. This does not make for a good night's sleep! There is a nice view from most... More

Loved our stay here. Hands down, the front desk was the friendliest, most efficient, and knowledge filled group of individuals I have ever encountered in a hotel! For example, I wanted to visit an up and coming boutique that is not very well known yet in the United States. The staff worked hard to find the store, give me a... More

We are shall we say, a "mature" couple (in age rather than outlook) and we absolutely LOVED this hotel. We had a 4th floor room which was very modern and large with an extremely comfortable king-size bed and a huge sofa. The view from the window, which ran the whole length of the room was incredible. The superb bathroom also... More

Athens was the last stop of two weeks in Greece. We were wowed when we first entered our room (24) at A for Athens. The room was spacious, modern and attractive. The bathroom was large with a full size shower. The bed was king size, comfortable and had wonderful feather pillows. Staff were personable and helpful. Breakfast overlooking the Acropolis... More

We stayed here again in early September after staying here 2 years ago, twice. So we have tried 3 different rooms all on the 3rd Floor. All facing the Acropolis. I had done my research and read that everyone had said it was noisey due to the rooftop bar, so we made a point of always asking for the third... More

So many things have been said by others that are spot on or very close to spot on. Location - fantastic and very central, extremely easy access to the Metro and taxis. We used the Metro once or twice but it's easy to get around by walking. View(s) - great morning view of the Acropolis looking up and Monastriaki square... More

Excellent location, really helpful staff, what a shame that we were not warned about the noise levels. I appreciate that staying in the centre of the city means that you have to put up with a certain amount of noise, but really guys? We were not warned of the fact that the top three floors of the hotel is one... More
