We entered our room to find it was not the one we had ordered, and this was fixed immediately with no problem. I will start by saying pay the extra for the Acropolis view, it is totally worth it!! I stayed with my husband, and 5 yr old plus another adult family member and the room was plenty big enough... More

This would have have been a great stay if it wasn't for the construction site right under my room. The first day the drilling started at 7 am and lasted till the late afternoon, non stop. After that every day from 8 am. Since they were breaking the roof from the neighboring building the power drill was very loud. My... More

We visited the rooftop bar at A for Athens. Splendid place, superb view, lovely cocktails. The crowd can get boisterous at the square, but that comes with every popular joint. The staff were prompt and very helpful. The maitre d' was a polished young man who found us a nice table in spite of the place being packed. This place... More

Visited there with my daughter and the view is to die for. The cocktails are amazing and the service is good and fast. I visited other rooftop bars but this one was my favorite by far, especially at 2:30 AM!

I personally would like to express my delight with the staff 'Vangelis' for being so helpful on my stay with my wife. There were some admin fault on the date of our stay and we got dead worried thinking tat we might not have a place to stay. 'Vangelis' went the extra miles to find a solution and he did... More

This would be a perfect boutique hotel, except for the noise levels in the room. We stayed three nights and could not sleep much, even with earplugs. The closed windows were simply insufficient to block out the constant drumming and street noise of Monastiraki Square, and we were facing a side street. The party noise continues into the early hours,... More

We received a very warm welcome from Vaios on our arrival. Both rooms we stayed in were wonderful, one suite at the start of our trip, and another on our last day before returning home, that one with the famous view of the Acropolis. Breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight of the day, with great food and an even... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
